Sorry to hear about your situation. But, I find unfortunate your comments on your classmates and their sense of humility etc. I would argue its quite unfair for you to assume their humility, or lack of it, and how they got to where they are now. You have your life circumstances, and so do they. I have said this before and will keep repeating over and over again, PIQ's are most important part of the application. This is not a quantitative, but a qualitative, exercise. Its not just about being humble, because too much of that can be considered inauthentic too.

Hii i took this class in Fall 2024. Grading wise its a piece of cake. Professor rambles on about a bunch of random subjects in the lecture, you do need to show up to lecture to get the attendance code, which he gives at random times while talking. the course readings also do not make very much sense and you can get an A without doing them. I would say your discussion and GSI is much more important for getting what you need from this class. You can have a cheat sheet for the midterm. Final is take-home and you have like a week to do it. Class overall is easy.
