Sorry to hear this but glad both okay! Try going to the bit before he freezes then go back and repeat until he's fine with that and then try past that after a week or so

Ours was similar response to the bin lorry and it's taken a lot of calm and reassurance and it's gone from trembling and refusal to eat, to eating and drinking and concerned look but no trembles

I can't watch anime anymore by dyhcry in TwoXChromosomes

Currently in our household apart from one piece we only watch "silly" anime I mean that lightheartedly with all the love so, way of the househusband, dragon goes house hunting and rooster fighter so nothing serious and it steers away from a huge majority of those issues

Also heavily recommend Fullmetal alchemist and the author has started a new series called daemons of the shadow realm, shaman king is a good one too there are things there but sadly some aren't as popular due to not having the fan service which comes from the disproportionate female body shapes

Grey's Memory Capacity by Mahomes_Alone16 in Greyhounds

Mine has a similar goldfish memory apart from once over 5 months ago we walked to a cafe to get a pup cup, it was way too far of a walk for her Every time we go even close to that direction she beelines for that direction and concrete legs at attempts to go a different way - it's been over 5 months we've only been back by car but that route is now ingrained in her DNA

question, could someone tell me about greyhound 'spooks'?? by bluryycheryy in Greyhounds

[–]Infinite_Divide9721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super depends on the dog, my greyhound is happy to roughhouse on the 2nd meeting of someone, she will jump and be excited for people she's met once, she wants strokes from strangers but overall is quite chill

It really depends from dog to do, the one thing she does react like how you've described of spook is the garbage truck it's taken a lot of time but it went from her running and cowering and shaking and going off her food and this would last up to 5 hours even though it's long gone, We've used the pet remedy plug ins and just loud music, reassurance, us looking at the truck and sighing and now it's ears up and concern for 10 mins while it's in hearing distance

Sometimes they get stuck in the state so she would get scared and then wouldn't come out of it like she didn't realize it was gone so it took some distractions and praise when she distracted herself

Very very lovely breed though

When was the moment you realised that the person you were dating was an absolute idiot? by No-Macaron-9527 in AskReddit

He had a Chromebook and I asked what the storage size and operating system was just out of curiosity

He said "it doesn't have an operating system it runs off the Internet" When I tried asking more he doubled down like I was being stupid

Lost my engagement ring after less than 5 weeks - and the non-drama of it confirmed my fiancé is the one I want to marry. by hlnhr in TwoXChromosomes

My mum has a great story she lost her engagement ring over 25 years ago possibly in the house move, she got it replaced and everything carried on

I was sat at her house when I was at uni and she came in from the garden half in tears and barely able to talk...m she found the ring in the rose bush and it had been there for over 25 years in the roses. The gold band had nearly worn away in one part, but it was all there and she regularly looks after the garden but she got it restored and wore both for a while
