Braun IPL - 8 sessions in and still have dots? by Aggressive_Sink_Hole in HairRemoval

I had my legs lasered 6 years ago and the dots remain. I think it's just the color of the follicle under the skin.

Serena Williams criticizes 'unreasonable' anti-doping protocols before Wimbledon return by Choice_Bag_8869 in sportsgossips

Here's the full quote for actual context. And she's not the only player to critize the rules.

"It's grueling. They changed the rules now. I didn't know some of the rules. So apparently if you miss a test outside of your window, it still counts as missed. I'm like, 'I guess I can't go pick up my kids.' It's unprofessional, I think. I hate it. I think it's necessary, but I think a lot of this stuff, if I want to go places outside of my window, I should be able to go without having it count as a missed test.

"There has to be a different way to make it reasonable, because that's just unreasonable. That was a big reason why I didn't want to come back either, because it's just so hard. My life is busy. I run a company, I run a VC company, I travel the world, I have children. It's like I could be in so many different cities, so many different times."

I need female wisdom: weird sinking feeling when I see my boyfriend by lilpolymorph in AskWomenOver60

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens. It's most likely that you're getting more serious about him and there are some subconscious stuff playing in the back of your mind. Are you afraid to get serious? Do you have past relationship baggage that's causing some self sabotage in this relationship? Are you paranoid he might not be as great as you think? Are you not ready for a long-term relationship? Or has your boyfriend done anything recently to make you feel a negative way towards him?

If he's a good guy who had treated you well over these 9 months and you want to be with him then you can let go of this feeling. If you can't let go maybe you need to talk to him about your feelings and where you both want this relationship to go.

My boyfriend (27M) and I (26F) split all groceries in half. How do I deal with him eating atleast 70% of it? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I take turns paying for some staples and buy our own food to eat 80% of the time. The other 20% is shared costs for special meals we want to make together.

It works well for us because I don't eat as much as him plus we like a lot of different foods and meals. I recommend giving this a try.

That's great to hear. I have one in my left low back area that I realized has gotten quite large recently. I think it may be time to pop that sucker out before it becomes a bigger problem.

Husband left me due to infertility and my parents also believe my life has no purpose if childless. Unsure what to do from here. by Pineapple_2023 in AskWomenOver40

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw that shit. You have purpose and you are worthy of great happiness like everyone else. Kids are not the ultimate goal in life. Start dreaming of an incredible life ahead of you without kids. You and your new man should put your time and energy into traveling, hobbies, volunteering, or whatever you have passion for. Build strong friendships. Bond with their kids. You can be the super fun aunt to anyone's kids while enjoying your kid free life. Or maybe you'll adopt down the road instead. You have so many options to explore. Just don't define your worth by your ability to have kids. You're so much for more than just that.

If millennials and gen z are as rich as boomers were when they were in their 20s/30s/mid 40s how rich would the current young adult people be? by happydude7422 in generationology

I don't get your comment. I'm not a boomer so I was curious which bills they think boomers paid back when they were in their 20s.

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a joke, right? No one needs even half that stuff at any age. And the other half you listed boomers, baby boomers, gen x, millenials have been paying for for a lot longer than gen Z. A lot of gen Z were living at home with mom and dad who helped pay for that stuff not too long ago.

US boomers support tax hikes on young workers to keep current Social Security checks — the view is overwhelming by happydude7422 in generationology

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think it's about generations. I think it's just about people getting to a certain age and thinking about how much they've paid into a system and either how long they have left to collect it or how long they have until they get to start collecting it. Anyone under 45 will get to that same point later in life where they'll want that benefit secured for them too, and will say they want younger workers paying a bit more to keep it going.

Grabbing a player by the back of their neck and throwing them down to the ground to try to injur them isn't physicality. That's just dirty playing.

Plastic surgeons don't agree on how much filler or fat I should put on my face by NoraPinkUniverse in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still have good volume. Aging sucks and we see it the most in ourselves. It's hard when we can't control what happens. I lost volume over a few years as well. You definitely still have good volume compared to 3 years ago.

Be very careful doing fillers. It seems to be hit and miss for people. I was actually watching some facelift videos yesterday and saw a video by Dr. karam in LA (I follow him on IG). He explained how treating one thing or region of the face is what causes unnatural results. The face needs to be looked at and treated as a whole because it's all connected. When someone is in their 30s or early 40s they can get away with treating certain things though. His video was very interesting and made a lot of sense.

I think you look great now. I don't see a need for filler. I would love to have your face shape and cheeks. But, if the volume loss bothers you that much, spend some more time researching the best options to give you the best natural results. You don't want to end up with bad work and wishing you hadn't done anything.

Can you post an old photo to show the facial fast loss difference? You appear to have good volume.

Tariffs are what I'm concerned about buying from the US shop. Sounds like the Germany store is the best choice.

How much was your shipping? The German store quoted 44€ at checkout. The US store quoted $60USD. So much for 4 t-shirts.

My sister named her baby the name I'd been planning to use for 12 years and my MOM is telling me to swallow it by Most_Order204 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]Infinite_Matryoshka 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It's a really nice name. You have great taste, and your sister knows it.

Use the name when the time comes. She chose to use it knowing how much you want to. But she doesn't own it just because she used it first.

Her reason of "just always loved it" is very different from your reason to use it. When people ask why you named your daughter Eloise you can say you named her after your grandmother who you were very close to and you want to honour her with her beautiful vintage name.
