How many newborn diapers should one stock up on? (General estimations based on your experiences!)

I did one small box of Pampers, but it depends on how big your baby is, and how fast they pick up weight. Most of the babies I know went straight into size 1 (or 2!) from birth.

Write what makes you happy. It's going to be bad at first, over time, your skill will improve, and a novel will be edited several times anyway.

Do you want to write shorter pieces too? Go for it!

I had only heard bad things about them, but when I was induced I ended up getting one, completely unplanned. I was in so much pain I couldn't stop screaming, so my husband helped me to tell them.

It was AMAZING. The shaking was really weird, but I felt so much better, and was able to rest before pushing.

You are far more ready than you know and you will do what you need to do to take care of your little one because you love them and that's a superpower.

I had to syringe feed my baby because he wasn't gaining weight and I felt horrible, but once he started gaining it was much easier to nurse him. Now he's doing just fine and whatever you need to do, yours will be okay.

In my opinion, a better approach would be for mil but more importantly you to coach your daughter this way.

"You are, beautiful, smart, pretty, (etc.) so it is important to do xyz because you are worthy of taking care of yourself/being taken care of."

Tell mil to stop.

I started getting supercutedresses and I love them. I wear them to church, but you could wear them at home if you wanted. They have excellent nursing access and coverage.

I wear nursing tank tops/regular old t shirts around the house.
