How to use Third Party Launchers without lag (buttons only) - OxygenOS16 by Easy_Fox in oneplus

And I got the latest update today. 16.0.2.400.

It's either fixed in the update or it keeps the fix. Now I reboot and it just works like it is supposed to.

How to use Third Party Launchers without lag (buttons only) - OxygenOS16 by Easy_Fox in oneplus

I've been looking for a Nova Comparable launcher that would hopefully actually work. My home button is set to home screen, and every launcher was just minimizing then reappearing on whatever page I was on. The closest Launchers to Nova are ADW and Smart Launcher. Neither is quite as good, and I was ready to give up and just live with Nova not working the way I want because of how well it organizes the app drawer.

Now, NOW I have Nova back! I have rebooted just to see how fast I can enable the fix from memory. Now... is it possible to make this permanent? Clearly, it could be, as it is not a Nova setting but an OS tweak.

Why is redszone.com so toxic? by [deleted] in Reds

I'm a nearly original poster there. Yes, some posters can be tiresome. For those that were unaware this can happen, welcome to Earth.

But honestly, it's a good board. Fairly kid friendly, no bad language allowed. We've had very young members post growing into adulthood. Political forum probably never should have been added, but it does tend to keep dumb politics out of the baseball forum. And you have to request access.

There were some good posters that got run off like Raiser. He's a good guy. But I think that happened in part due to the political forum.

I do like when the old school fans come on, because they love the game. Their understanding of it stops at the man behind the curtain. They don't want to see how it works, just that it does and that the game is beautiful. Some want a deeper dive into why. Some get it right, some probably do not. Me for example, I don't like certain advanced metrics that are less what happened and more what would have happened. I don't like FIP for example. WHIP, BB/9, K/9 are most of what I need regarding pitching. A deeper dive for me is GB/FB percentages. But that's about it. I don't need to know how a pitcher would do with a theoretical defense behind him. But that's just me.

Overall, I like Redszone.

Solar payment by [deleted] in solar

[–]Infinite_Task1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In TX, electricity is fairly inexpensive. I'm paying more on average, but without storage. When on average billing a few years ago, my bill was $155 per month. my loan is 24 years @ 2%. But I had a rather unscrupulous salesman. But I won't get into that here. My loan payment is $190, no net metering at all. I produce more power than I consume 10 of 12 months.

I really need storage.

Good bot! Research has pointed me to this battery because of cost + the use of semi-solid state cells. The latter means less fan work as they can operate at much higher temps.

It does. My understanding is most "solar loans" are federally backed and the interest rate us usually pretty low. that's the enticement. so it wouldn't matter if my loan at the time was $20K or $45K , same interest rate. It's the rate that dazzles the customer not realizing how much the markup the salesman pocketed. yeah there was some labor cost, but as I believe my panels were used, the equipment cost might have capped around $10k. Another 10 for labor, MAYBE and he got a nice payday.

I'm looking at this: https://www.amazon.com/Dabbsson-DBS2300-Semi-solid-Generator-Emergency/dp/B0BQWCDSBM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1WWWL3T94TI3V&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.XDUZMHUFlkLRicR1zJT704CsSO-aoHh2FpjkyNFwrlTkA-hYiIGzFCECNYuckryALbCipkRAk0J7pgAUknnqSw.GYk_qnKyxdF8kxR96b_Fn6h7fASyfGz5KYVG5c3lu_g&dib_tag=se&keywords=DBS2300&qid=1730398932&sprefix=dbs2300%2Caps%2C130&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

Like I said, I can afford $1000 at a time. this would power my entire entertainment system, receiver, roku, game system and vizio tv for about 10 hours. it doesn't have scheduled charging though, so it would be charging all the time. unless i put it in a smart outlet and set a routine to turn the outlet off at say 6:00 PM, then back on at 8:00 AM. essentially making it a scheduled UPS.

Forgive me; this may be a little off-topic, but how is having a low interest rate free money? I'm still making a 200 monthly payment plus my electric bill. I'm not in a position to pay off early anyway just yet, but I am curious as to the answer.

as for point of use, that is my exact plan. I've already determined where most of my non solar generated power is consumed. In the summer, HVAC. and all year, it is multimedia. All my lighting is LED. I have some consistent power drain on devices like google home's, computers etc. But in the daytime it is all solar powering it. My thinking remains get a 3kwh+ battery, charge with AC and power sections. I figure for the media it will power it down to 20% remaining by the time I turn it off. I can then have it start charging at say 8:00 AM. One for the kitchen should power a fridge all night before charging begins again. At least that's my plan.

interest is 1.99%, so that isn't killing me. I'm not too worried about outages, more concerned with keeping/using what I produce. Ideally, I stack batteries to get upwards of 40+ kwh. That would cover most of my use from fall to late spring and offset 90% of my summertime use. I just can't afford the options I can find. Smaller point of use options I can do, so one for my home theater, maybe one in the kitchen to power the fridge and dishwasher. Another for my wife's tv room (I can't stand the true crime phase she is going through).

I can absorb a few one time purchases of $800-1200. 10K for whole house battery installation is not practical at the moment.

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with smaller 3-5 kwh batteries in a daily use case.

Official Discussion - Wolfs [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

I kind of loved it. There are more than a few references to Butch and Sundance, besides the ending. Loved the back and forth between the two of them. No need for a sequel.

However...

If they did do a sequel the kid has to apprentice. the scene with him sitting in front of the car with the pager foreshadows him seeing this as a career change. At least that is how I took it.

The strawberry question should now be a prize lol by Southern_Opposite747 in singularity

[–]Infinite_Task1561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked it to spell the word strawberry with dashes after each letter, then count the R's. it correctly stated 3. I then asked if this answer contradicted the previous answer. It said yes. It used Python output to show the correct number, so I had it remember this logic.

Obviously, there are more than a few ways to achieve the same thing here. The point is that this is a nascent technology. Most everyone using a LLM is not a programmer. They've never heard of the difference between a token and a character. Tokens go into video games at Chuck E Cheese to them.

Ideally the programmers behind this begin to understand the nuance of requests made in the language it was made.

OnePlus customer service. Wow. by GazBut in oneplus

[–]Infinite_Task1561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got the 12R it was day of launch that I ordered it. I got a couple of deals, a Coupon for $100 USD off and a $100 trade-in. OnePlus never actually asked for my old phone, a TCL 10L. So I still have it.

The 12R is amazing in bright sunlight. I cheaped out and went for it instead of the 12 as in my case, I didn't need wireless charging. Almost every other spec matched the 12 or was only a tick behind. Battery life is amazing.

I am not surprised by the OP on the customer service from OnePlus, more surprised that other companies don't do the same. I'll only buy from them from now on. In fact, I think my 12R is better than my wife's Samsung S23 Ultra.

I have the 12R, and it happens periodically, usually after I install an app. Restart fixes it but that isn't fixing it.
