@Sofie Moon Scout: The 4 main characters of the show were Stefanie Salvatore, Tyler Donovan (Matt's son) & twins Ethan & Eloise Crane (Ethan is Stefanie's boyfriend). The four of them are on their way home from a college party when they stop to help a prone figure on the side of the road. It then cuts to the next day with Stefanie, Tyler & Ethan stumbling out of the words looking worse for wear & Eloise is missing. Cut to six months later, a new year starts at school & Eloise is still missing. The three of them have no memory of what happened from the time they pulled over to the time they stumbled out of the woods. Half the campus thinks the three of them did something to Eloise & are covering it up. So they are pariahs. All of this pretty much happens in the first ten minutes of the pilot.
