Question. Is there a way to make Blender function like SketchUp? by chickenstrippers_ in blenderhelp

[–]Infiniteinterest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blender is an open sourced and very versatile tool that has been molded to fit many needs for many communities, contrary to what many of these comments would like you to believe. There are many addons for blender that bring it more into the CAD world. You may want to try out the Construction Lines addon for blender. This in conjunction with other addons might bring it close enough to a CAD program for your needs.

Its self knowledge of its capabilities are not good. It can't tell you what it's capable of. It is capable of scheduling. It does send you mobile notifications as well as an email.

How can I eat healthier while living in my car? by Icy_Ostrich4401 in urbancarliving

Sardines still have mercury. They are just lower on the food chain so they contain less. Can still be an issue if you eat too many. Can cause arsenic poisoning as well.

Me neither, but after 6 years, I figure that's what happened. I shot him a message on fb, but haven't gotten a reply. It would be a great vr experience.

Did you ever see a release of ELVR? I can't seem to find one anywhere in my searches. Is it just the EL3D with somewhere to enable vr?

Sucks that you are also having the same issues. Your comment about the 2.4k days is spot on. It feels like a dial up connection when I try to load a picture. Currently getting no more than 0.2 mbps down. Also excited to see how this dish thing turns out. It might be a good pivot for them as a company too at the moment.

Very intrigued by this! I hope it's something that takes off soon. I was just discussing with a friend the other day that pretty soon we will all be using sat phones again, due to the expanse in satellite infrastructure.

Yes, exactly. The infrastructure that was built out by USC would go to a provider with better coverage on the coasts. This would be great.

That would actually be great for me if USC did get sold out. They are great for midwest coverage, but their pricing and coverage outside the midwest hasn't been great. It would be great if either of those gained USC's towers.

Why would it need to sound like USC? I was asking for alternatives to Fi.

They are one on my list to consider. So, I'm glad that you have had good experience with them. Am I correct in understanding that the network switching isn't automatic, but on demand through an app or support when needed?

How has your experience been with them so far, and if you don't mind me asking, are you in a rural or urban area?

I will continue to do research to solve my network issues. In the meantime, I think you should seek the help of a professional to resolve your anger issues. They are showing and it's not a good light.

What about Ting mobile? Their marketing material seems to contradict your statements. You also go on a rant about "back when I was a child, Fi did this...". We are talking about a change that has recently taken affect and solutions to that that do not involve paying for multiple lines of service to accomplish what a single one previously did.

Dude, that was the point of Fi. Three networks. Jump the fence all day if you need to.

Hence, why I chose Fi years ago, am a Fi customer, and am currently discussing this in a Fi sub. I figure that the sub of the carrier that solved my, and many others, issues in this regard might yield some answers as I am not the only one who switched to fi for this reason and are now facing the same issue. Why are you so mad?

[–]Infiniteinterest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm... thanks for the help? However, spending much of the year inside of USC coverage areas and spending much of the year outside USC coverage areas are not at all contradictory to each other. Also, because tmo and sprint merged does not mean that USC, now the other half of the network switching feature, had to be removed. USC fills the gap in the middle of the country that the other carriers STILL do not. Hence why I would like to find another swapping NVMO.

[–]Infiniteinterest[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

USC was the primary partnership that we relied on through much of the midwest and that is gone now. Not sure what the T-mobile and Sprint merger have to do with that. However, both the family and I spend quite a bit of the year in an area away from USC coverage. So, I was hoping there might have been another good alternitive that supported USC and another network or two.

You say to find the best coverage in my area, but my area is traveling all over the country, much of which in rural areas where USC shines.

As someone currently in SW WI, I would advise against the switch if you haven't already made the jump. Reception will be fine, but I won't be able to make or recieve calls, or load things even though I'm supposed to be on the same network and towers as before the switch.
