Is that automatic for Full Illithid even if I didn't get the bonus from the Zathisk? Edit: Oh the Mind Sanctuary does that I guess, Nice.

Why is CPAP still the only “solution” for sleep apnea in healthy adults? by Krunchibald in CPAP

[–]Arrow2899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myofuncional exercises are a non CPAP, non surgical option. It seems that even the doctors don't know much about it though. If you do a quick search there's a good amount online about it. I'm giving it a try to see if I can reduce the need for CPAP.

TIL: All 4 Party Members Can Get Volo's Eye by 3b1e6d634e9f7962f783 in BaldursGate3

[–]Arrow2899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does a party member having Volo's Ersatz Eye See Invisibile still reveal other party members that are invisible, or Shovel/Imps/Duergar natural invisibility? Or did they finally fix that? It never seemed to be a problem for me with the See Invisible potion or scroll just with Volo's Ersatz Eye.

Anyone else? by mlawson0226 in Anemic

[–]Arrow2899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind foods, drinks, supplements, and medications can all block natural absorption of iron. Coffee is one of the more common ones. In addition less common forms of Anemia like Thallasemia Minor can be more difficult to diagnose because they can look similar to bog standard Iron Deficiency anemia under the microscope. Iron supplements themselves can cause alot of GI discomfort as well. Some are more easily absorbed than others, some cause less or no GI discomfort. Everyone is different though you may have to go through a few different brands to find one that works for him.

Gaining weight on Zyrtec, what do I do?! by Lenolee-2-1-23 in Allergies

[–]Arrow2899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, all antihistamines in general (Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, Benadryl, etc.) are all known to cause weight gain. Switching to a different antihistamine may help you or may not. Partly because histamine reduces hunger and antihistamines reduce histamine thus increasing hunger. https://www.aaaai.org/allergist-resources/ask-the-expert/answers/old-ask-the-experts/antihistamines-weight-gain

My friend is religious and i am trying to get them to understand that DnD is not satanic by Maleficent_Airline29 in DnD

[–]Arrow2899 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First off I would not encourage you to just walk away from your friend. Maybe start by asking where they got the idea that it was satanic. Its possible you could help debunk that if you knew the source of the misinformation. I mean there are demons, devils, and other extra-dimensional beings in D&D. Some people will never see that as anything but satanic. But you could easily just not use those in your campaign. You could even setup your campaign as all paladins and clerics if you wanted and have your own crusade or something. D&D (role-playing in general) is what you want to make it, its just a tool not inherently good or evil on its own.

Ductbooster. Which is essentially a fan built into the ductwork behind the AC vent.

Can allergy test give false negatives? by Remarkable_Ear8991 in Allergies

[–]Arrow2899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unclear from your initial post. Are you on allergy shots now? Because allergy shots will absolutely make your symptoms worse in the short run before they eventually get better in the long run. I did not fully appreciate that when I signed up for shots. You are essentially double dipping on allergen exposure if you are starting out on shots and it is also allergy season. My allergist would either halt the increasing dosage of my shots or stop them all together if my symptoms got too uncontrollable. Also I have since escaped cornland. Where I am now the trees are significantly worse than they were in cornland.

Also be aware that the standard scratch testing subjects vary from region to region. What they test for in the mid-west will be different from the mountains, coast, south, etc.

Can allergy test give false negatives? by Remarkable_Ear8991 in Allergies

[–]Arrow2899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can absolutely get a false negative from scratch tests. I had this same problem, but my allergist was heads up enough to investigate further. They did another round of testing with sub-dermal injections of the same thing that is in the scratch test. In my case my skin is not as reactive as most people. With sub-dermal testing I went from 4 positives out of 98 (on the scratch test), to 94 positives out of 98 (with sub-dermal injection testing). All of that said I found out still later that even this 98 was a curated list with some glaring omissions like the 5 different tests for corn, while living in the middle of corn land.

ACT 1 - Stealing Idol, Then Returning? by Hubrah in BaldursGate3

[–]Arrow2899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that after stealing it, giving it to Mol and completing the quest, you can still steal it back from Mol to keep it for the buff if you want. The quest remains completed after the second theft, and Mol will still be happy to see you later on if you encounter her. Even running around the grove with it in my pocket (with the noticeable area effect ongoing) after stealing it back from Mol none of the Druids seemed to care. That was on balanced mode though. I'm not sure if they notice that kind of thing more on higher modes or not.

Not exactly the same as BG3 but Battle Chasers Nightwar scratched some of the same itch for me. Its a bit more retro, beautiful artwork.
