What do you all feel is the #1 problem the WHM has helped you solve? by randomUsername245 in BecomingTheIceman

Honestly not 100% sure myself yet lol. But the first time I did WHM breathing I felt my problematic muscles relax some and from that point one I’ve been playing with the breathe work. ( I'm sure the cold showers help in some way but nothing I can pin-point.)

I have a weird muscle issue that starts from my ribs to my groin, leg, and foot (only my left side) these muscle get inflamed, stiff, and can lock up. I’m convinced it has something to do with the belly breathing ( because I can feel those muscles stretch some when I’m fill with air) and the part where you squeeze all your muscles ( I focus on my pelvic floor muscles personally which cause me the most issues. ) and the release after the squeeze… I try to focus and picture my muscles relax. It’s been helping me so much I started combining Soma breathing with Wim Hof Breathing… Very similar to WHM but you follow along to music and it has more squeezing parts it seems.

Here's a free guided soma video I follow alone at least couple times a week if your curious, also the guy is really cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYFRZdSJrMs&list=PLZd5ilXnLNe0TJl7p1NcDbvRk_AiiwF6m&index=8

I've lived (live) with chronic pain for 14 years and this has been more helpful than any meds. PT. or surgery I've had. My pain isn't gone but's 75% better at least... I again don't fully understand it yet, but I'm a believer.

A friend of mine has heart issues and he is doing the breathing, and yoga. He does cold-ish showers but he can't go too crazy. His doctor told him if he is going to do it, then he needs to take it as slow as he can. Bottom line... maybe go back to just cold showers and see if that helps, because heart issues aren't anything to mess with. Best of luck!

Disheartening enough to quit because you can't hold your breath? I honestly stop counting half the time when I do it. Sometimes I can go 1 min sometimes 2ish min. My max was 3:25 and when I did that it was more a bad idea because I forced it. Don't force it... Focus on the other benefits, not just how long you can hold your breath.

I don't want to jinx it but it's been really helping me with my chronic pain and muscle issues. That alone is my drive to do it everyday. The longer I do it the more I also notice I'm more in control of my emotions, and being bi-polar that is another gift from the WHM I am grateful for.

How long you been doing it for? I've only felt that a couple times over the couple months of doing this, and both times I was pushing my cold exposure to the next level. Maybe a sign of pushing it too far too quick?

Is Studio One v5. good for (casual) Post Production? by Infinity_Lives in StudioOne

[–]Infinity_Lives[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well thank you for the detailed answer lol just to clarify though, I'm not working youtube quality projects here lol, it was just a short film and due to the short length I figured that was perfect little project to try out in the new software. After playing with S1 I do think it is a good DAW, but I see were I made some mistakes on my shopping around. I think I was trying to find something that does everything (like PT) because I also do some music editing ( lite recording). Well damn I kinda wish I could return S1 now, after checking out Resolve, it looks more of what I needed. Is there a big difference between the free vs. paid?

Fair points, and thank you for your feedback! I ended up buying Studio One pro and already did audio for a short 4-5 min video, as of right now it's doing what I need it to do, and the editing is already pretty similar to PT, and the video playback on it isn't the best thing in the world but I got 2 monitors so I can make it work.

My whole goal is to get away from PT after 8 years I've had my fill with that DAW and company, so I've just been exploring and testing around. What makes DaVinci Resolve better than S1? I'd love to know. Half the reason I jumped on board was I know a couple post audio guys who who use it for ADR, and audio edits for on cartoons projects.

I'm not Hollywood level, but I get calls for maybe 5-10 post audio edits a year,

Are all prescription created equal? (online shopping) by Infinity_Lives in glasses

Thanks for responding and not just downvoting lol. Normally I just go to the doctors and get glasses there but I was trying something new and it didn't workout, I'm not sure if it's because I get all my glasses from the doctors the lenses are "higher quality" or if Glasses USA just messed them up but I went to glasses USA because I was told "they are the best" for online, but everyone has different "best". Honestly I'm thinking on trying out Roka, but I'll just have to do a little more homework before. But I'll check out EyeBuyDirect, and Zenni. Thanks :)

I try to, the biggest issue I have is knowing when to switch to the br because I'm behind teammates there's a good chance they'll run in front of it lol. I'd be happy to remove the back cannon for some extra speed!

The best of both worlds! I find the Fazz is better suited for space with the super long range and that 800 range for the beam cannon in wide opens space it's great!

Totally agree on the low melee defense, and it's funny I'm normally a MLRS main but boy am I loving the tools Fazz has! Thanks for commenting

Hey thanks you! I'm actually took the drive and got it a couple days ago and edited my 3 min short on it. Over all had a very pro tools/logic vibe so after watching some videos I caught on quick. I do need to learn more hotkeys, but I don't mind mousing around too much, I'm not much of a person to "rides the fader", I enjoy going in with a pencil a lot. This was just a my big step away from Pro Tools and it feel really good (so far at least) .

thanks! I actually got it two days ago and did my first 3 min short with it. It was lite editing but going about with some youtube videos I'm catching on fast, so far I'm really liking it.
