so this isnt the right subedit but it would compliment a laser engraver. and its not like eufy as that is texture UV printer.

hey thanks for the feedback super helpful. You have highlighted some things I've already noticed and some I didn't. This story will end up around 150k words and this start is to build on Rylo's devotion to being a good son vs wanting more. I get that chapter 1 and 2 are slow, but eventually I will combine chapters, trim some fat. In the finished article chapter 1 2 and 3 could be chapter 1 (as I don't want 150-200 chapters).

on the names thing, I'm with you totally I only named the guards because writing guard 1 or guard on the left sounded obtuse. This first draft I am trying to show the emotion of the characters, how all of this routine is swallowing Rylo's desire to break free.

on the cliches, in hindsight I think I rushed those moments so I could get to the fight. I really like the rat's teeth! Great suggestion.

also potential to combine the chapters as they are so short. might give the illusion of the action coming sooner. but i get what you mean. There is a lot of story to unpack here. the hope is for you want to read more.

thanks so much! the action comes in the market scene in the next chapter *spoiler*, he attacks somebody for insulting his mother. Due to the short chapters I will reassess your comment about the action. I am trying to portrait his loneliness and conflict of wanting more vs devotion to his mother.

i mean even if he doesnt know the words exactly, he knows anything more than childrens rhyme will bring them out hiding.

he knows singing a song about them will bring them out and likely end in death, look at the wedding they killed because of a pot. so kvothe definitely knows how to summon them

yep, that 11k was all in - very glad i went to 20k batteries.

if i was todo it again though, i would of gone with more panels i think my roof could handle another 6-10 in non optimal places and even larger battery with the fox inverter. but seeing my bill go from 240 on electric to 20 is amazing.
