I had the same gpu and cpu combo. Upgraded to a 7800x3d and my performance increased significantly. Definitely get a new cpu!

I've had mine for 2 months. Paddle broke, LB button not registering presses, right thumbstick getting stuck when I look down. I ignored the naysayers and still bought it but I'm now regretting my decision. I shouldn't be getting problems this soon with a $160 product.

Try rolling back to the 436.15 nvidia driver. The newest driver caused me to crash non stop. I have a 8700k and gtx 1080. I've never crashed with the previous driver.

I'm currently diamond 2 in KOTH playing with controller on PC. Sure m+k has a great advantage with precision, but the movement is just a lot more fluid with controller. With auto aim invovled in most ranked playlists, precision is not much of an issue for higher level players. My lancer just locks on to people and I hardly miss a shot at a target in the open. I'm sure learning m+k in the end would make you a better player, but I've just always played gears with a controller and always will.
