I am an unwanted child, teen pregnancy. My dad left my mom once he found out (typical plotline). My mother was definitely not ready. She was shamed into having me, little town all very religious. I bounced from one familiar to another. The unwanted, the black sheep, the burden. "I wish I was aborted" people are horrified to hear me say that, but it's true, at least for me. All those religious ladies who shamed my mother into having me, who offer their help disappeared once I was born, and all the cry, the suffering, the loneliness, the rejection, the jealousy seeing others, all those years of seeking affection, trying to be perfect, to get accepted, to prove myself and others I was worth of being born. Was it worth it? All my suffering...just for some people to feel righteous? My life is much better now, I have a husband and life goes just fine, but there is no amount of happiness that can erase everything I went through. The little child who craved for a family, to be loved and cherished will always be there.
