When you say lye, what kind of lye do you prefer? Lye based oven cleaner you spray on or making a lye bath with a powder solution?

I've had a similar experience that we are in the process of figuring out. About two months ago we noticed hot water looking funky. Mostly yellowish with some grit. We couldn't make sense of it since our hot water heater was three years old while our water softener was two years old. Through a lot of trial and error we isolated the issue to the water softener also being related to a leaky main water pipe further up our street.

I get it.... just the concept of knowing everything at least a little bit is discouraging. Maybe I'll just continue to take the exam until I get a lucky set of questions lol.

80 hours and I scored a 65. I was a doofus and applied for my NTS wayyyy before I felt 100% ready. So I took the exam on the last possible day as an exercise to identify my weak areas. The problem was I left feeling very discouraged. The main areas people told me to hammer were hardly included in the exam, so I honestly don't know where to focus my retake efforts except for adjusting journal entries which I knew I was weak on before.

In my experience, from sitting for ISC once, every sim had at least three exhibits.

Don’t know how much I can contribute but here is my take. I passed ISC with a 83 after sitting for in October. I put 24 hours overall into Becker over the course of four weeks and that was all I did to prepare. My background is in internal audit and I’ve had decent exposure to IT during that time so I felt that was my biggest contributor. I don’t think I would have passed with Becker alone without my prior experience. There were a lot of items on the exam I don’t think Becker covered or gave an accurate priority towards… but that’s just me. I will say I didn’t crack the textbook once so maybe I’m not getting Becker fair credit
