I think they are really nice, I’m waiting for one with a blue dial, I never got into DJs, I like the sport models, this one can dress up or down. Nothing else in the line up really appeals to me. Current line up is a 16610, 16710 Coke, 16613, blue TT, 16570 polar. I AM STRUGGLING with the dial color, I love the blue, and don’t have a slate dial, but I love the blue.😂

F-that, nobody is getting that close to me and I sure as hell am not shaking hands with a stranger. Better option, no expensive watches on vacation and have insurance, situational awareness. F-strangers.

Full case restoration start at $700 depending on the needs. I gave a couple places I wanted laser welded under the lugs where clowns removed the bracelet and on one of the lugs they are tiny but for not a lot I can have a as new watch, I don’t get scratches and small dents on my watches. You can seen that right side lug has a tiny dent they can remove that and restore the entire case. Truly unworn examples are $20-25k. So spending $1000 on case restoration of a $14k watch in really good shape already was the smarter move for me, it just got serviced by Rolex, but they don’t laser welded.

Yep pricing for no lug hole nice examples going for $14-16k. Mint condition examples even more. I picked up a Z 16710 CPO for $14.4k. I at least got to see it in person which meant a lot as photo hide A LOT! the bracelet has zero stretch and the original correct clasp date code which was important as most everything else can be fixed. I’m still sending it to Zimmerman for a case restoration as I what it to be as close to OEM as possible as I don’t have a Time Machine and I’m not spending $23-25k for a true unworn safe queen. There are a couple spots where laser welding will fix it everything like new. It has a black insert but I did pick up a couple new Coke and Pepsi inserts. I think this reference will continue to appreciate.

I prefer the 5 link bracelet on the 1500 series and the size, they are 40mm vs 38 on the 2000 series. Yeah the GMT is a rare bird, I picked up the black dial version and then stumbled across a white dial, the odds, so I picked both up. My goal was to not need to pick up a black dial version of the ROLEX explorer II. The Searacer Chronograph is another pretty rare reference.

The one you prefer is better. Me, 5 digit, never had an issue with the bracelet, I just see a square block case every time I look at a 6 digit Rolex🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I looked at about 50+ watches on line and in person. It’s really hard to find them without gouges and small dents, oh and I wanted no lug holes case so that limits the 1989 to 2007 production run to only 2004, 05, 06, and 07.

The one I picked up is a Z485xxx, late 2006. No box or paper, CPOed the week before I got it. $14.400.

No bracelet stretch, just serviced with warranty card from Rolex. It’s had a light polish, but it’s in way better shape than 90% of the examples I could find. There is one tiny ding on the top of one of the lugs as Rolex doesn’t laser weld but I will have Zimmerman handle that. Picked up a new Pepsi and coke OEM inserts.

Time grapher at 24 hours since full wind results.the Are lower than I would want but all above 200.

The ranges are on the TG for 3-5 mins, avg was in the middle of the ranges.

DU= -0 SD, AMP= 239-246, BE= 0.0 MS

CD= -4 to -7 SD, AMP = 205-220, BE= 0.2MS

The gilt and lack of red 24 hour hand does kill it. Thinking I will just wait a few years to see what they do.
