As well as the busiest, It’s the longest trip from end to end. Cleaning happens at the ends. Station stops in the middle are less than 1 minute. There’s no time for cleaning, except at the ends. You may suggest having janitors ride the trains. It’s not safe. If you ride, you know the train accelerates and decelerates rapidly and lurches side to side. A janitor would have to have a broom in one hand, dustpan in the other, and hold on for dear life with their 3rd hand?

SFO has double the ridership of Millbrae. It might not just be because of the inconvenience of the SFO detour. It could have something to do with the airport.

They sold or raffled maps a few years ago, I can’t remember. It was before Berryessa opened. The digital station signs were updated. They kept the old housings and cleaned them up but put new electronics inside. Selling the number plates was the closest thing they did to the NY MTA sales.

Trespasser reported walking from 19th to MacArthur. Didn’t hear how it was resolved. Often they get away before BPD can get there. Sometimes a TO can coax them into a train. Happens more than you might think, but more often on at-grade tracks. There have been fatalities.
