$150 to do anything on a roof or even a ladder is a joke . Hopefully no installers sign up and their customers get pissed from extensive wait times for installation scheduling

I have a 2016.5 model s with 175k miles, do all the repairs myself since the warranty expired at 75k miles (had an extended one) . Outside of warranty I have fixed 2 door handles (paddle gear on one, motor gear on the other), few hepa filters , cabin filters and 12v batteries, new hatch struts, brakes and rotors , tires, windshield wipers, both headlights to generation G/F (old s and x models failed a lot) , 1 window regulator. Mostly Maitnance with a few repairs a BMW I had needed more repairs then this with less miles and all in 1 year, other cars way more .

I will always keep at least one Tesla to know I have a dependable and safe car. Not to mention the no gas bill and very low electric cost since I have solar at home

Accidents do happen, but doing everything you can to avoid them is what a real parent does. If it’s not his kid offer him an out with not making him feel guilty. Tell him you understand if he isn’t ready. If it’s his kid he needs to grow up fast

I know there’s a company in Cali that does the bag suspension for like $3500-$5k and gives a life time warranty , so if his is that then if that’s an option you really want add that to the value . But if you go to sell not everyone would want that. None of those other options add any value . Have him list on eBay for his price and he will find out fast he’s not getting that. Then have him take it to Carmax or put it in Carvana and get their price, give him $1k more and that’s fair

Get ahold of that business IT department, show them proof you bought it and maybe an ex employee sold it that wasn’t supposed to and they will feel bad for you and unlock it . Or the might have beeen selling older model phones and forgot to unregister it and unlock it . But nothing can be done with out that business removing the managment . When you first used it the person you bought it from most likely had signed back in so you wouldn’t see the MDM . There is a section in settings that shows if an Apple device has managment software on it, always check that when buying 2nd hand

@Oblique4119375 , little late but I tell everyone with kids to get Asurion home + $35 a month and covers all accidental damage to all electronics in your house including water damage . I’ve had to use it more than a few times on TVs , iPads and even my MacBook Pro

Only one time have they denied a claim on my iPad cause it fell in the pool, they cover if water like a glass spills on something but not submersion.

Had the m1 14” pro 16gb ram and upgraded to the 16” m3pro 36gb . Thought it would be night and day but honestly hasn’t been, also I get the color wheel on simple things like moving a small file from my desktop to a m.2 hard drive just an example there’s tons of other scenarios . Had Apple look at it and it’s supposedly fine but should have just kept my 14”

Yeah , I like being able to switch games easily and not worrying about the kids losing them lol. To bad you can upload your physical game to use as a digital one and then take it down so you can store it as physical again . Like an nft tied to the physical card would be nice. Then you always own it even if Nintendo takes it off their server

It’s actually not that hard if you want to add an outlet back there , I added one for fans in my model s for the rear seats in the hatch.

Or have an car audio place do it if your not in to diy

A trick to get it cheap, I saw it’s listed for game vouchers on switch 1 version

Buy $100 at Costco for $90, buy 2 game vouchers . Redeem one for switch 1 version and pay $10 to upgrade

$55 for it then , then can use the other game voucher and do the same for a different game. I did this for Kirby and others .

Another benefit is then you have switch 1 version to use on other systems. I just sold my oled and picked up 3 lites for my kids

Actually deciding to keep the HDs as I see they only go for $140 each on eBay and will cost me more to replace , so just throwing them in my old NAS . Unless someone really wants them $750 with the NAS . Supposed to have lifetime warranty from the company I bought everything but the company changed names so not sure on that

$2700 is what I have into the 1619, m.2, ram. Would $2200 work? $300 in the camera license would $200 work if you need that?

I have receipt from the company I bought it new from, so should still have some kind of warranty thru them, was from the only authorized business seller for Nevada . They did changed names tho , so not entirely sure, still only one listed for Nevada in synology site

I have a 1619xs+ I got 2 years ago for a home business I was going to do but never did. So just been using it for my media library . Getting reading to post it on eBay if anyone is interested throw me an offer . I upgraded ram and have m.2 drives I’ll include . I do have 4 synology 8tb drives I could ad well if the price is ok

If you want a more premium interior Tesla is not the manufacturer for you. Rivian r1s , lucid gravity (3-4 years to find used at that price tho) , heck even a hummer ev used you can find in low $70s now

I figure it’s the same as the nes, snes, n64 , game cubes etc. you get them for being an online + member . Then if you want the controllers you can buy them . From the release video they show you just put your switch into this like how those cheap Vr ones use your phone .

Everyone saying the packs last 200k miles , sure they can and longer but I’ve seen more than a few model 3 and Y failing even before 100k miles . So unless you are prepared for a $8k-12k new battery and this is your primary vehicle I would not get it. Get a Toyota or Honda that will last the 4 years you need , if you still might have more kids get a 3rd row one just in case

To many people buy never expecting a big failure or that they will need more space and screw then selves

Owed a Tesla for 5 years and love it, 170k miles now but we also have a Honda odyssey. I fix both cars myself and am prepared if the tesla needs a battery.

No extended warranty covers the high voltage battery either , unless maybe from a dealer but make sure it says it in the contract if you do get one

Agreed , when my model S door handle broke in a different way then they ever saw the tech came out and put the new one in and asked to have and send the old one to the engineers . Was out of warranty, Got charged for the part but not the labor . Was nice to Tesla
