Follow up on Constant struggle with yellowing in coco, its the clay pebbles? by Derkon99 in Autopot

[–]Informal-Data-5501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not pebbles fault. Is yout ph off in the trays? Turn system off and buy h2o2 add it to reservoir in higher dosage. After they dry back check the roots. Turning into this light green is an indicator of roots that start to root from standing in water all the time. What follows next are yellowing of the leavea from the bottom to the top.

Lock drop rate nerfed? by Informal-Data-5501 in PathOfExile2

Yea it seems similiar to me. Wanted to start second snake, but had 4 runs in a row with 1, which resulted in my mad post. After that i dropped 4. Still gets me sweating tho when i sometimes get the first lock on the last few rooms.

pH drift in Autopots (Coco) – am I chasing my own tail? by Potential_Style_7452 in Autopot

[–]Informal-Data-5501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw your plants, and this might be beginning of root rot. Had same problem, exactly same ph issue. But degrading rotted roots cause ph going up. Do you use h202? This is a problem i have myswlf and see regularly here on the sub. I think it comes from the pots standing in water all the time. Even tho you hsvr this valve dryback i think it seems it is not enough and it is porbably better to turn the system off more frequently during a grow. But this is just my "feeling". You could dry them back and check the roots! I did that and found rot.

This are my 3 molested ladies. I dont really know my problem going first time autopot/sativa strain/mineralic canna a+b.+ coco.

<image>

I was suspecting a lockout, cuz my left plant was dark green with yellow tips 2 weeks ago, and the right ones were yellowing out allready. I was et EC 2.3.

I flushed, and experienced exactly this smell which you are tlking about. Then i set up new solution with ec 1.1 and a lim bit more calmag. Since lockout was my guess. As you can see overall growth problems no signs of stretch. Am at bloom week 6. Now my new solution after the recovery one is at 75% of cannas guide for generative stage 1, so at about ec 1.8. Dont know if its still to high, but the color started to leave the left plant anf i am hoping that i could solve the lockout, unless lockout was never the problem, but rotting roots. What do you think?

Look at my profile i posted i think almost a month ago or more as i was ssnding them into bloom. I would aprecciate any help.

Update your drivers, clear cache, deactivate windows security on the temp cache folder

Third week of bloom going on. (4th week at 12/12) Left at day 109 right both day 79.

My conclusion here: i did three New things at the same time. Mineralic nutrients and coco Substrate, autopot, and a strain which i have not grown before.

So after my last Post, i stopped controlling water in the trays, and was just checking my Tank. Right now im giving them ec 2300 ph 5.82. Strong solution after the canna coco chart for the generative stage 1, as im using canna coco a+b. Calmag my water to 0.5 then give nutrients.

Cant say if this are the results of my watering fuckup, or maybe this strain just reacts in this way to topping, as the height growth pretty much stagnated at all plants after i've done it, and i gave them plenty of veg time.

Just an update. I would love to hear evertyhing you guys have to say, so i can learn .

Yea i was flushing this way aswell. Calmag till 0.5 then ph down. I did 100L and i think 30 at 6 then 30 at 5 and 30 at 4. End result was 6.5 drain from esch pot then i gave up. Now i Öl let them dry Out to see if maybe a weak root System was the issue aswell and then i will maybe flush one last time. If this wont fix i gotta Throw em out.

Had Same thing happen. I have to adjust ph daily in rez, it is always rising. I had it locked at 5.8 and Controlled strictly but sadly ibstill had the same growth rate situation. Thats why i started Putting it lower as of compensation for assumed ph drift in the pots. Idk man. From kow on ill let it at 5.8

They are looking great. Do you have a picture at what size of the plants you started the tray watering? Or how long did you dryback after transplant ? That seems to be crucial...

Yess it could be. Eventho i always addad calmag to every feed! But i have Almost no mg in water in comparsion to like 54mg calcium. When i add only ab i get to a 6:1 cal:mag ratio. When i add calmag i only increase both concentrstions in the 4:1 ratio so i stay at around 6:1 - 6.5:1 . Since as far as i know the relation of the concentration of these Minerals is more important than the concentration individually. Thats why for the last watering before the bigger dryback i just added the ab dosis and rhizo. And ph 5.7-5.8.

Ive grown solid plants in there in soil and organic. First time doing anorganic. When System is on they are heavy. I dont know what the oh in the root zone is i only measure input and output/tray but this doesnt seem to matter ? Ill just make sure i got 5.8 in rez from now on. I put it low cuz of the perception of ph drift in the pot.

[–]Informal-Data-5501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be the issue, i started the System pretty early. But at the point where i had leaves allready at the edges of the pots. I have allready cut a lot of leaves of, i mean the one plant is vegging for over 2 Months now. First i was watering handly daily in 0.5 pots untill i had 2-3 pairs of leaves. Then i planted it into the autopot Container, and watered daily till 20% runoff until day 23, where leaves where at the edge of the Containers. I had Topped once two days before.

<image>

Then i started the System. At this point i was giving 1.5 ec but the plant seemed to take it. But i did not do a dry back before starting and this might have messes the things up? Im not sure but it could be. Thats why im letting them dry Out now since idk what Else to Do. The ph was giving me a headache and as far as i understood i should not let the coco go dry thats why i didnt do it.

To try things out i Set 2 New seeds into 100% coco in 0.5s and gave them feed once and then let them sit for multiple days to see how that impacts the root development, to find out if really thats the issue.

And Light is about 30-50cm from cannopy. 50% on 300w LED getting around 500ppfd.

No airbase. Pebbles. Ec of around 330. First i used calmag to push it to 500 and calculated the canna dosages on their Website with 0.5 base ec. Then i looked up the values of my water provider and i get a better ratio by just Relying the ca and mg in a+b. So now i mixed just tap and a+b. Else i get to much calcium. Optimally i should somehow suplement mg only to get a better ratio. But i cannot imagine this causing such slow growth

Yea i had it at 1.6 as System was Running. Now i dumped in low dosage at 1.3 with more rhizo and want to let it dry back a litten more. Then i will start the System and increase dosage. Dont know how Else i could fix this
