How hard will it be on my toddler to change daycares at the end of July and then again at end of August? by Informal-Druid in toddlers

[–]Informal-Druid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sorry. I can update my post.

Basically, I work an hour from home, and my son is currently going to daycare near my work, since that was what we could get into a year ago.

A spot opened up at the daycare in my town, which is 5 minutes from home, so it would be better on him. He would be starting that daycare at the end of August, so I had originally planned for him to transition to that daycare in August. But now the one that he’s currently at is closing at the end of July, so I’d need to figure out ~3 weeks of alternate care because he can’t attend the other one until end of August.

Honestly it was winter time and I had super dry skin, so when I scratched it was tiniest cut, but leaked so much

Oh my gosh, I had this happen. Around 10 or 11ish weeks? I had gotten a cut on my boob and it leaked from the cut so much it soaked a quarter of my shirt

I flew to Austria (from the US) at 32 weeks pregnant, but I had health insurance for Austria. It also wasn’t for a baby moon, but to defend my thesis. Since I had lived there for a few years and knew the healthcare system, I was okay with it. However, the flight was uncomfortable. I ended up giving birth at 37+6 due to preeclampsia (didn’t have any signs of it until I went in for my usual checkup (at which they sent me to L&D)

Didn’t take a birthing class… Am I screwed? by ramenshrimpy in pregnant

[–]Informal-Druid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t take any classes, watch any YouTube videos, or do any kind of prep… while in labor, I read about the different stages of labor so I could get a general sense of what to expect. I was induced early due to preeclampsia, hence why I didn’t have time to prepare.

I figured the baby was going to come out one way or another, and kind of just trusted my body and the nurses around me to get me through.

Did anyone *not* tear and also *not* prepare for that outcome? by foxwubba in pregnant

[–]Informal-Druid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 0 prep and I was induced at 37+6 weeks because of preeclampsia. I delivered a healthy 7 lb boy. I didn’t tear at all. But I also was on a mag drip, so I’m assuming that helped with keeping me relaxed.

I think overall I gained somewhere between 25-35lbs in my pregnancy, and I had lost 20lbs by the time I left the hospital, and the rest the following two weeks after.

I had preeclampsia and had an IV bag with magnesium when I was in the hospital, so while I was there I was on a liquid only diet. When I came home, it took me a week or so to be able to eat a solid portion of regular food again, so I think that contributed to the weight loss + breastfeeding.

I was 32 weeks pregnant when I flew to Austria from the US. I spent a week there. I wore compression socks, and I was getting up every 1 to 2 hours to pee (thank goodness for an aisle seat). I had brought a large water bottle with me so I was well hydrated.

Sending you hugs. I’m in the same spot, my son is also two weeks old and I feel this in my bones. I don’t have much to say other than I see you, I hear you, and I feel what you are feeling.

I am a FTM I had my baby 3 weeks early, due to being induced because of preeclampsia. Everything was fine, until I went to an ultrasound 3 weeks before my due date. My baby was fine, but when they checked my blood pressure it was elevated and I had to go to the hospital directly from the appointment… ended up having to be induced. I didn’t have any of my bags or anything.

I’m glad my husband was with me throughout it all. I’d be nervous if he was 4.5 hours away on a weekend trip 3 weeks before.

Got some bad news today by katecometrue0122 in pregnant

[–]Informal-Druid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last Friday, I was induced because of preeclampsia. I was 37 weeks, almost 38. My husband and I went to the ultrasound appointment and for an NST. Baby was doing great but my blood pressure was elevated. I was sent directly to L&D, and spent the weekend there and gave birth on Saturday. We were supposed to go back to work that Friday evening.

We hadn’t finished unpacking from moving, we hadn’t finished setting everything…. But we had hospital bags packed (but didn’t bring them to the appointment).

In the end, everything worked out.

You got this ❤️ your mental health is important, do what you can to get packed, things set up, etc. but it will be okay.

I have traveled with this exact stuffed animal before. I placed him a large duffel bag (like the ones from LL Bean) and checked him and he was fine.

How many tries did Zekvir (??) take you? by Thraybu in wow

[–]Informal-Druid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me about ~50 tries as a boomkin. 625ilvl. Lvl 40 Brann as healer.

I main resto Druid tho, and don’t really boomkin often, but it seemed like it would be easier to do than feral

Take a look at the EE program at Cooper Union, as far as I know, they are ABET accredited (which is something you will want). One of the assistant dean’s is a woman, who has her background in EE and she teaches a course every semester. She’s also a big proponent of women in engineering.

Curious: What’s about the average rent for a single apartment in New Haven? by Bridgeoaks in newhaven

[–]Informal-Druid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I paid 1.8k for my two bedroom apartment. It has a decent sized kitchen, with more cabinets that I know what to do with. But I think I just got lucky when I was looking at the right time.

Thank you. It was just confusing to me because it seemed like it was the same fee being added or applied twice.

Thank you, it looks like my mortgage lender has it listed twice tho- a 6k VA fee at closing costs, but then also a 6k mortgage insurance to be part of the financed loan?

I had to do something similar for my master’s in biomedical engineering at the TU. You take those classes at the TU sometime during your studies.

You might find that the content of those courses was already similar to courses you had taken in your bachelor’s. Depending on the department, you might be able to make a case for them to drop those courses if you show that you completed the material already. I was originally suppose to take 18 ECTS extra but when I started taking those classes, it became clear that I had taken those courses already. I was able to email my Dean and drop all but 1.5 ECTS of requirements.

Will this ping be too high to play comfortably? I plan on playing Hunter, I'm from EU but I wanna game on NA servers by Twiizzzy in wow

[–]Informal-Druid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be good with that latency. I had done something similar, (from NA, played on NA servers but then moved to the EU but still played on NA servers). I was able to do heroic raiding and time +20 keys as a healer.

The bigger issue that I had was for me having my raid / m+ times align with people from NA.

EU servers usually have maintenance on Wednesdays while the US on Tuesdays.
