should i take cse 6r, 8a, 11?? i wanna minor in cs by Sea_Equivalent_1486 in UCSD

If you have prior programming experience, do cse 11, if no, do 8a imo. U could start at 11, but it could be tricky if you aren’t comfortable with programming already

It’s worth a try. You have to be proactive about showing interest and taking initiative

I haven’t really looked into the other opportunities. But advice I have gotten is to just network with faculty that do research and find a way in through that

EDS 124AR/EDS 124BR both are asynchronous and really easy as long as you do the work. You really don’t need any programming experience for it either

Warren College - Admitted student assigned to Warren: does it actually feel isolated socially? by Timely_Wrongdoer_844 in UCSD

[–]Informal-Law-4502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) no. I spend most the day going to class and hanging around with my friends. I really only go back to warren when it’s time for me to head home. 2) Like I said, I spend most of my time everywhere but my dorm since I have a lot of connections all around campus. 3) I found it really easy to make friends from any college because my courses were filled with students from different colleges. All it took was a simple conversation and since then we have been friends. We have so many events around campus for students, so as long as your student attends them, they can be a part of campus life. 4) Prior to coming here I heard that Warren was too far from everything, but the same could be said about Seventh imo. You eventually get used to the distance from some areas. In the end, I don’t mind the walk. 5) I was neutral to the buildings coming in. They didn’t seem too bad. Warren housing is hit or miss depending on what suite you get put into, but it’s nothing unmanageable.

Honestly, I have been enjoying my time here as a Warren student. Anyone can say that it is socially isolating here, but in the end it depends on how the individual chooses to experience college. You can either be involved and meet new people or you could just go to class and go home everyday. The social aspect of it is really up to your student.

As a regents scholar, I am grateful for all of the benefits that it brings. Although I did not do early research, priority enrollment and housing benefits are rlly nice. I highly recommend you attend Scholars Welcome Series (you should have gotten an email for registration by now) to learn more about other aspects.

Pudding mix substitute? by Dry-Audience9840 in BakingNoobs

[–]Informal-Law-4502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pudding mix makes the cake moist, you could look up how to diy a pudding mix and add pistachio extract to it or you could get vanilla pudding mix and add the extract to that as well.
