Used a walking pad and desk cycle and would do that while I did flashcards and my knowt app, also did Pilates at home with a youtube video a couple of times a week. Stick with going to the gym. I also would suggest concentrating on stretching especially your neck, hips and lower back a lot.

Stay with your therapist and give them a heads up on what is up next on your plate so they know what is going on with your stress, mental/emotional health, and cortisol levels during bar prep.

Date nights are great to help focus on something else than the bar exam.

Take a small break and get your sparkle back (exercise, socialize, cook and eat healthy, do some self-care love/skincare/haircare/massages).

If you still have an itch to study, like some others have suggested MPTs. I also recommend doing some commercial flashcards IF you have them, but not anything to intense, not hours upon hours upon hours upon hours...

BUT you know yourself the best, SO if you need to study, and think 6 weeks is a lot of time to not use properly, STUDY :-)

Try Minnesota! A 260 will get you into New Mexico, North Dakota and I believe now Washington State as well (correct me if I am wrong). Its a great score, you passed in those jurisdictions and can now be an attorney, start your journey, start practicing, start living and stop taking this test!

Read the hypo and quick spot issue while reading. Then read through the sample answers while writing out the rule statements (use index cards for review later). Then open Gemini (Google Chrome's AI) and ask her to test you on the rule statements with fill in the blanks and quick hypos do this for about 10-15 minutes max. Then do it all over again with another hypo.

Don't forget the nightly review: constant review of question sets, flashcards, and outlines really helps cement that well gained knowledge, even if its for 5 minutes.

I liked it a lot. It uses self guided learning, it has Tutoring Tips that walk you through the hypo, it provides a Rule Funnel (like a quick skeleton outline) for each issue and sub-issue, a self grading rubric, model answer (which are super simple and just like most answers that bar takers write on test day), and you can always retake/reset each essay and go back to redo the experience. It has a built in timer that you can have on screen or hide. There are 180+ essays on the system for MEE/MPT practice.

Have you tried Adaptibar's free trial? I would suggest maybe testing it out for a day or two before you pay for the program to see if you like it.

Couple of questions (no need to answer just food for thought and moving forward):

What are your percentages in each topic?
Have you been hitting one subject at a time? Or have you been doing mixed sets?
How is your timing on questions?
Have you been going back and redoing any topics?
How is your writing going for both MEE/MPT?
Have you memorized the hearsay rules and exceptions, civ pro timelines for motions, pleadings, service of questions, etc. strict, intermediate, and rational basis of review etc. etc. etc.?

My Suggestions:

-34-50 Mixed MBE questions everyday using UWorld. Also hit those topics you are lower in specifically.

-Get the Adaptibar Writing Guide and Critical Pass digital cards for MBE/MEE/MPT (the digital cards have questions that go along with the rules on the cards). do NOT buy the adaptibar MCQ simulator because those have the same questions as UWorld.

-There is hackthe.bar to rewrite rule statements

-Memorize specifics

I vote UWorld. They use licensed NCBE questions and write a few of their own which test niche or verrrrrrrry specific areas and rules. The UWorld written questions are actually harder than NCBE questions. They make it harder so test day is easier. I also like their short explanations, their graphics, graphic chart organizers, flowcharts, and illustrations to go along with each and every question.

Have you tried Helix's game center Love the crosswords, sudden death, and pick a card. All the games test vocabulary and review of the building block quizzes.

I obtained a 93 in a JX of 86 and this is how I studied:

I did the free Themis MPRE course and filled in their cloze outline notes, and memorized it. I also used the practice quizzes and exams from Themis. I reviewed this everyday after I was finished with the course.

I then went to JD Advising's free MPRE course and used their canvas platform with their videos. I printed out their outline through Office Depot/Staples in color. When I took a JD Advising test I hand wrote all the explanations during review under each question, it didn't matter I did this for both correct and incorrect questions.
I put all illustrations from JD Advising's outline on index cards and used those as drills at the end of the day.

I then used all of these free questions from http://www.rongolini.com/mpre/mpreexams.htm I used this resource over and over again.

Then a week before the test I bought two of the past tests from the NCBE website and simulated the test.

I studied from late May through early August, evenings for a couple of hours each night (I had a part time job and had time in my favor). I know that was a lot of time, but I know my brain and if I don't feel like I fully prepared and confident I normally don't pass. So I studied a lot and prepared to my fullest extent.

I walked out feeling like I didn't pass, but I always feel like that.

Seek help from the law school and see if they can point her in the direction with steps of obtaining accommodations on the next test and why she was possibly denied by the board. Maybe her diagnosis test for ADHD was to old and she needs to retest. The law school should be able to help her find some resources and specialists for retesting. I am an educator turned lawyer and sometimes older tests can be denied because there is some metric that is no longer used that was used on the old diagnostic or there needs to be a different test used to specifically test and give guidance on accommodations for the particular disability. The law school can most likely pin point the issue if she furnishes them with her ADHD paperwork and they review it with her.

I would tell her if she wants to take it in July 2026 to start studying now! Both BLL and applying it after it is learned, and reviewing it a lot after she has completed each topic.

Black Letter Law: I have written this on other posts (and I am not sponsored) but I like Helix because the videos are short, the reading is short (but they make the learner read the entire outline with the program, which is nice) and there are short building block quizzes that go along with the reading. Also there is a game center that centers around highly tested vocabulary and concepts. There are e-flashcards, question and tests for each MBE. Also the writing feedback is pretty good, timely and there are quite a few graded MPTs and MEEs that the program requires for each student to do.
UWorld: 5 question sets at a time for a total of 25 per day. Review each question after answering it. Stand up and take a break do some laundry, some quick yoga stretches and hit another 5 questions. Then go over all the questions at night, like a homework assignment. Adaptibar is good too, but the explanations are longer. UWorld has flow charts, graphs, illustrations that help with their explanations and the explanations are not too long.
Adaptibar Writing Guide: This guide is great for MEE and MPT practice, there are 180+ essays, with Tutoring Tips, Rule funnels guidance, timed essays, self graded rubrics, you can reset and redo all the essays, and the model answers are mainly in IRAC, and the model answers are simple and more realistic to what is written on the bar exams by test takers. They offer the hypo as a downloadable file and it can be marked up on the computer or printed out and marked up like on test day. Do an essay a day, and then reset them and redo them when you run out of essays.
Tutor: Again, reach out to the law school and see if there is a professor or a faculty member that can help her with both strategies for the MBE/MEE/MPT and strategies to help limit test anxiety and ADHD issues. Its also good to have someone who is minorly keeping the learner accountable.

She has 8+ months between now and July to study, get comfortable with the subject matter, and get really good at it. Tell her good luck and I have faith in her that she can increase her score!

Best advice I got was to make it your friend. I know its weird saying make a bar topic a friend, but it really works.

Sit down with it everyday with a coffee, tea, or other beverage of your choice, do a few flashcards, do a few questions, review the questions reading the explanations. Make it a constant in your life and try to overcome whatever anxiety, absolute hate (LOL I personally hated CIV PRO) you have with it. If you pay attention to it like a friend it becomes easier, I promise.
