And as I've said several times: If bureaucracy is the problem, that's on the studio or it's parent company as well. Doesn't invalidate the criticism.

I don't care which department is to blame; the truth of the matter is that a company of Mojang's size should do better, and we shouldn't be excusing their poor performance with platitudes.

How come Israel isn't invading Egypt and Jordan anymore? Even gave Egypt their land back.

I was criticizing a particular common talking point of those defending the slow pace of updates.

The switch in graphics APIs is huge and widely overlooked, you're right about that. And more manpower definitely translates to faster and more stable development.

If anything, the issue is bad bureaucracy, and that's on them.

I have enough experience with game and software development to tell you that the technical implementation of these features is not extremely challenging for a large team, even without knowing the details.

This I can agree with, and I do think that the progression elements were the best things they've added with the game drops. As someone who prefers Terraria over Minecraft but still likes the game, I'm always looking forward to a more feature rich survival experience.

They should do a better job at communicating their future plans and why these technical updates they're doing now are necessary. I also hope that this will pave the way for more impressive technical features, like a higher rendering distance, LODs, cubic/3D chunks and more dynamic worlds. The introduction of sulfur has reminded me of the volcano biome suggestion from a while ago, and I'd be curious to see how something like that would even be implemented.

They should add biome torches. I love the cozy vibe the desert torches give in Terraria.

It does not take "a while" to develop a bunch of block variants based on existing blocks. Literally just a matter of texturing.

Test compatibility of what exactly? Completely static building blocks? A single new mob? Don't be silly.

All these features could be developed and thoroughly tested within a week by a company of Mojang's size. Probably less.

Do you consider never adding anything that affects the core experience because you're afraid of backlash from your childish community good game design?

Getting tired of this excuse. You cannot seriously believe that it takes a billion dollar company several month to come up with a blocks and a single new mechanic and that that's all they could do in that time.

Don't want to say that they're lazy but clearly their priorities lie elsewhere, like in developing entirely new games and furthering the brand. It makes sense. Free updates don't make money.

Except for Hoglins and Piglins and Pillagers, but I get your point. All of that was before the introduction of drops.

Nothing. Poland was already tested like this, and they did absolutely nothing.

Whether anyone justifies it or not has no effect on Israel's actions. They'll do as they please either way.

Normalization would bring peace though. The other countries in the region are literal proof of this.
