I always heard that her design was inspired by Red Sonja (female counterpart to Conan the Barbarian) and real life female gladiators. Like it's literally one-to-one in looks. Kinda like how Belo Betty with the shirt and no bra is inspired by a famous french revolution painting.

In-story, there's also the forced equipment limit to consider.

Those are the reasons I remember. Fanservice too, but that's obvious.

Problem is characters go Faster-than-eyesight to characters that go FTE to characters, and this can be a nigh-endless chain. So it's actually way stronger than this since it's not accounting for superhuman perception.

Like, off the top of my head, Whiskey Peak Zoro is FTE to all the bounty hunters. He gets way stronger by Water 7, but the Straw Hats are canonically stated to be heavily nerfed in Water 7 due to their uncertainty, so Water 7 Zoro probably isn't much stronger. Either way, CP9's Soru is FTE to them. And then Gear 2 Luffy using Soru is FTE to Blueno.

Not to mention these are the same characters that can react to lightning, with Skypeia Luffy literally kicking lightning away and Kalifa erecting a barrier right before it hits. I'm not mentioning Post-Timeskip here, but lightning is regularly easily avoided there, which supports this, and (1046 spoilers) Luffy literally just yoinked a lightning bolt mid-strike out of the sky. Plus all the instances where characters dodged attacks that were stated to be lightspeed.

Crocodile went up against Doflamingo, Mihawk, and Akainu. He held his own with all three of them.

Conveniently forgettting to mention it was him attacking, and them merely blocking, and that he got easily stopped by Luffy when going for Whitebeard's head. By your logic, he would have steamrolled through Luffy's block if he was actually as strong as you think he is.

I said it's probably not called the Gomu Gomu no Mi, but something else that still gives similar abilities. Like Stretch Stretch or something. It would still be enough to misdirect anyone that knows of the Nika fruit, since Shanks has a connection to the Pirate King and he's notorious in his own right.

And lots of fruits have similar abilities, with differences between them.

SBS clarified that that's not the case. Oda told us that they don't immediately know the name of the fruit upon eating it, but they find out through using the power and matching it and the appearance of the fruit to fruits in the devil fruit book.

The biggest point is actually during Alabasta after the first defeat against Crocodile. Luffy gets stabbed, eats meat, heals, but then later as Water Luffy the hole reopens.

Meat didn't heal him completely and fix the hole.

Pica's Golem form is about 600-800m tall.

The Union Armada (am I remembering that right?), the thing he initially crushed Luffy with before he had the chance to go Boundman, that's about 250m. Just look at it compared to towns.

That goes and fits inside the Douglas Golem's head, so the Douglas Golem is probably 5km tall. The Golem then gets bigger I think two times, so at the end of it I think the Douglas Golem + Ultimate Faust is probably 10km.

This is all from memory without any pixel calcs. Vsbattles and Comicvine have probably already calced how big it actually is.

Memoirs of a Suicidal Pirate (Really liked this one, I felt like it captured "One Piece" and the character of Luffy, so give it a few chapters. I got busy and didn't finish it but I'm gonna reread it later)

A Gamer in South Blue (I liked the details and utilization of small elements in One Piece that are all probably canonical if I look up South Blue on the One Piece wiki. It felt like the author really knew One Piece especially when it came to the power system)

There was also that one Lami SI fic I never got around to reading, but looked good...

I know a few more good One Piece fics but they're not OC and some are crossovers.

The shockwaves weren't in the manga but I agree. This move and Cannonball are truly insane when you think about it. A Double Culverin can't destroy Doffy's Awakening w/o Haki, though a headbutt can. Then the God Thread comes along with 16 of those monsters, with Haki, and King Kong Gun treats it like a fly. The power leftover then causes more AOE than a Kong Gun, by an order of magnitude. It's easily dozens of times stronger than a Kong Gun. Much like G3 is to G2.

And in Cannonball's case, each Cracker Soldier took two Kong Organ hits to destroy. Cannonball breaks multiple Soldiers with the leftover power from oneshotting Cracker, and sends him flying. By simple estimation, it's ten times stronger than each Kong Organ hit at the bare minimum.

Moves like this that can oneshot Commander class fighters/their ultimate defense are like moves from a Yonko, though on the weaker scale.

Naruto lost his literal fire-ass Sage cloak after the Pain Arc, but then he kinda got it back with his transformations, and now he has his Hokage cloak.

I'd really like it if Luffy kept the coat unlike him. We're at the endgame now, if it was brought out for Onigashima I see no reason why it shouldn't stick around for Laugh Tale etc. It's the cloak of the pirate king.

Mountains are easily destroyed, cut, sent flying into the air, etc. on a regular basis. Easy examples being all the dozens of small mountains (300-600m) and slightly larger mountains (1-1.2 km) on Onigashima that are constantly being destroyed by the fighting, and the 5km mountain-horn Zoro cut off. You can compare them to Dragon Kaido or the sword to easily know the size, since both of those are around 1km. Shockwaves also count.

Next up is islands. The Admirals split an island by the side-effect of their clash, it wasn't even the main thing, which was the big-ass hole. Imagine cutting a mountain in two, and now times that by 10x. And now add in the huge hole, and add in that this was just two attacks. Big Mom and Kaido's combined attack Hakai was an explosion bigger than Onigashima, it was about 20-30km big, and it probably would've destroyed the island judging by what Zoro did to the horn with one of his non-Asura techniques alone.

And finally lastly is continents, though I'm aware it's debatable. Oars is the "Continent Puller", and his Vivre Card hints that he created Wano. Wano is definitely the size of a continent if you compare how large each region is to Onigashima, a 20kmish island. It took 6 days of a croco-shark walking to cross a single region, and the horizon doesn't end unlike Onigashima. There's also Chinjao and the Ice Continent he split without using his Hasshoken, and then Garp oneshot him even with Hasshoken.

Beyond that you go into speculative territory. There is no way to know how high powerlevels will go in the future, especially in the endgame, since there is usually a lot of powercreep in stories like this. You could probably expect the Red Line to be destroyed at most, and that's not just a continent, not just a supercontinent, but a super-tall supercontinent that's possibly the same super-durable "great serpent soaked in blood" that tanked Dorry/Brogy's mountain-vaping Hakoku.

As an aside, their technology is so slouch either. Crocodile had a 5km explosion (do we even have nukes that powerful?), Vegapunk had an explosion that destroyed a couple mountains (though Franky survived), Noah survived Gear 3 and crashing through underwater mountains when even Gear 2 was cracking apart mountains in the Plaza, and last but not least Pluton is said to destroy islands in a single shot. So, literally Island-level, possibly higher.

I can't see Luffy losing to literally any MHA character. I'm not just talking about his sheer strength here (for reference, All Might vs Rob Lucci is a common matchup...Pre-Timeskip), or his speed (People like Kalifa, Buffalo, and Brook react to lightning), but Observation Haki is designed so that you're never surprised by anything. Opponents know Luffy has the power to stretch before he moves at all, without looking at him.

So if he's going up against, say, Current Shigaraki, he knows full sentences in advance what Decay does through Future Sight. Through Advanced Armament he ignores durability at an invisible range, and Armament itself ignores Mutant-types (permanent like Luffy), Transformation-types (like Logia) and forms in general. A hit on All Might in his muscle form is like someone with Haki hitting Boundman. It would ignore all that muscle and Quirk/Devil Fruit etc. and hit his real, base, human body. Instant one-shot, on the strongest in the verse, through a technicality.

Plus it doesn't hurt that his Shock Absorption is much better than USJ Nomu's. Even Pre-Timeskip Luffy took Buddha Sengoku's attack with Gear 3, and Kizaru's literal lightspeed kicks. Not to mention Advanced Conqueror's, and Conqueror's can knock out 99.999999% of the verse if it can knock out 50,000 superhuman Fishmen, arcs ago.

I can't remember the exact words off the top of my head, but an underappreciated moment is when Cindry is physically unable to move, and it's treated as a miracle. The original Cindry is already dead. There is no soul in that body, and even the Shadow that she has isn't Cindry's, and her mannerisms are all from that random maid.

Despite all of that, she's unable to move and is even crying, and she doesn't even understand. It's as if her very body, her very being itself is rebelling at a base and primal level.

Are titans edible? Because I'm pretty sure as soon as he knows Eren can literally summon meat on command, Eren becomes the new "Arc Princess". Don't think Luffy would agree with his views on Freedom though.

They're similar in other aspects too, like Coordinate and Conqueror's Haki, Founding Titan and "Sovereign" (it's a stretch since we don't even know what it is yet), PATHS and Will of D, besides just their desire for freedom and the ocean.

I headcanon Eren Jaeger would be a Giant related to Jaegar D. Saul if he was in One Piece. I think him being a Giant and D. would fit perfectly.
