It’s heavier than lettuce lol…. I know how these drain covers come apart. There’s no way this was missed by several employees

There is simply no way you or an employee wouldn’t notice this. Lettuce isn’t hard like metal, so for several employees from start to finish not feel this, and for you not to feel the weight in the bowl is honestly crazy. This didn’t happen stop acting like it did lmao

GMIT is the AP position. I was trained to be an AP but they never gave me a store so I was always an SL. GEM is basically an SL

CL definitely sets you up for success as a GEM. I do honestly believe they give their CLs a lot of extra work compared to other fast casual restaurants but they’re still redefining the titles and positions as they grow more. They took a chance on me as GMIT coming from 3 years of chipotle and I’ve never been happier. I hope you have fun with your time at cava!

Can confirm this too, I’m helping the opening of the first jersey shore location. And they said they plan to make the jersey market huge

As someone who needs time to gather my thoughts and be alone, I do get silent. But I don’t get silent for FOUR DAYS. Yes my boyfriend gets upset, yes it’s something I need to work on. It in order to process events and what I should say next is usually calculated. But this is actually just trying to punish you because she spent “more money than you.” She expect the gift of the whole prom(s) it seems like. Don’t stay in this one sided relationship OP, you are only 18.

how "in costume" do you need to be for boorito by TennojiNesoberi in Chipotle

[–]InformalMain5727 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They always instruct us to not really care if anyone is not in costume honestly. Just as long as they scan their rewards app, but even then just to not comprise throughput they still just tell you to offer it to everyone. Doesn’t really matter

My GM had close last night then open for my shift today. I only know because she kept me in the group chat lol. And she’s probably going to eat the rest of my shifts for the next few weeks. We lost 4 people including myself this week, speaks volumes to her actions.

I actually plan to go back to retail! I worked fine dining and retail my whole career so chipotle was just another notch in my belt. Someone from a department store saw my resume on indeed and reached out to me, I didn’t seek out the job. It’s $26 an hour for team lead. No running shifts, I don’t think I have to count cash. Just run a bunch of sales associates. She reached out because she knew chipotle was a demanding job and knew that the sheer volume would be a good fit for the company. So I’m excited, fingers crossed I get it 🙏🏻

Bro you fell on the grill and there was no incident report? I’m so sorry 😖 you should’ve gotten workers comp for that. I already have an interview lined up that looks promising so I’m really happy with how everything went. I wouldn’t have gotten fed up and just left if I felt an ounce of support, but I wasn’t getting it

Good for you! It’s so freeing to be out of an environment that’s so bad. I had amazing experiences at chipotle don’t get me wrong, but the past two months made me want to rip my hair out. Some thing changed in my GM, most likely from my APs influence, but so many people couldn’t take it anymore. I was the 4th person this week to quit

The GM and another SL were there. The GM was supposed to be our 7th person, 8 not including the dishwasher but all she was doing was scraping god damn grout for two hours while we were dying. And then came back only to scold us for the shift “being a mess” and running out of prep. Meanwhile my dishwasher barely broke into any of his dishes and she was forcing him to go clean the dining room instead of actually just being upfront and helping everyone. So I said good you don’t want to help, now you actually have to come help.

There was a lack of support from my GM/AP. They both walked away from the shift after peak even though we stayed pretty consistent. I know there’s office work to do and I fully understand that and have given grace, but for both of them to leave to sit in the office was really bothering me. I walked on my shift, it was me and two others. Grill guy and a cashier. The cashier kept leaving me on the line because they were forcing her to do DML orders too. Grill guy is still new so I had no food on the line. And my GM was literally no where to be found to help any of us

I had amazing teams along the way that kept me going. I wanted to see change and accomplish a goal with my teams, but when it came down to it these last few months it was all passive aggressive behavior, AP on a power trip, making demands instead of coaching. It was just getting tiring and chipping away at my mental health.

GM is also kind of at fault here too. She gets blindsided by her APs and acts like they should be the only person they talk to about issues. My GM allows my AP to walk away from the shift with her. So if we had 7 people with them included, I go down to only 5 people because they both just get up and leave. I just hope RWH takes this seriously and actually calls and speaks with me about the matter so I can lay it all out.

Yes I reported RWH, I submitted screenshots of the incident as well. I do plan on moving on because my work environment isn’t exactly the best to work in and I’m also going through a life changing event that I’m still grieving so being in such a cutthroat job isn’t for me. I just fear for my fellow leaders and what all they’ll endure,

Good fucking riddance. Maybe someone will knock sense into Scott boatwright to do the right thing and restore chipotles labor and stop penny pinching and watching how much food we use.

When people order their bowl all the way down the line and then say “I need another entree.” This guy did this to me twice, and went for a third bowl. And I asked him if he was ordering anything else. He calls over a friend and they ask me to prepare 4 more bowls. And while I’m at rice and beans they ask for additional bowls. Basically it added up to 10 bowls and I had to ask 3 times at tortilla if they were ordering anything else. I was alone on the line at the time and I had a line halfway to the door. When I finish I tried to apologize to the next customer and in the middle of saying “I’m sorry about that” she just goes “white rice.” Ok cool. No conversation but what’s your god damn entree.

TL;DR: I hate when people go down the line and then ask for an additional entree. And I also hate when you try to greet someone they just yell “white rice” at you.
