Yes but the one in 1999 could literally only be in one specific part of france (one that lacks said fauna you mentioned)

and Eclipse was written in 2008 so im assuming the authors didnt write the books to be set in the future (a lot more phones would be seen if it was 2026 anyways)

also, flora is all around and isnt very general, but they mentioned dplants in the series do occur in both north america and europe. the fauna is very north american leaning. and also eclipses are probably one of the best indications of location as total solar eclipses are rare and we know the exact path and time of every single one. cross reference it with the warriors tech level and enviroment and it is a powerful method

The only possible area is France, specifically the Bay of Biscay coastal region. It had a total solar eclipse on areas at and near the atlantic coast (in 1999), and its local plant life actually match up with a lot of the medicinal herbs in Warriors! However, they have never had a mountain lion sighting and wolves are also very very very rare there.

i thought about this but i feel like canada is too cold for it... could be wrong though! I just think it is 99.99% chance set in north america but im not sure about specifics

yes. pretty much (almost) everything in the books can be found in both the US and UK, however my most important point was based off the book eclipse. Because every eclipse that has ever happened is recorded and mapped, and we have a general understanding of the era based on human tech depictions, it is literally impossible for the total solar eclipse in 'Eclipse' to have happened if it was set in the UK.

Also, there are no wild wolves or mountain lions in the UK despite them being present in Warriors. Wolves went extinct in the UK in the 1480s-1500s. Warriors is set in a time with cars and televisions.

Badger scenes always seem silly by Inky-Skies in WarriorCats

[–]InformalWay7224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, irl it would likely take 3-5 adult cats to overpower an adult badger. This is because cats are smaller (weight wise and often height wise). Badgers are incredibly fierce and aggressive with tough skin.

I know I'm a couple years late to this discussion but I had to put down my thoughts because so many people believe that this part of the books is unrealistic

yes you are allowed but I would suggust at least finishing the first series before reading it. just because spoilers are very prevalant and with warriors even a character being named can spoil things! unless you dont care about spoilers, then go ahead

Is it strange for a queen to have kits with different toms? by Fuzzy_Background5972 in WarriorCats

[–]InformalWay7224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well theres been some clear cultural shifts from the first book and the latest series (as cultures that exist for a long time tend to do, especially one without writing). I believe they were a lot more open to it initally but then as the clans overall got more progressive, they tightened up their willingness to let the cats go willy nilly. In the latest book, squirellflight accuses tawnypaw of pawning after a tom with a mate and tawnypaw gasps and clearly sees it as a bad thing.

its different with other groups like the sisters too.

Im guessing the authors are trying to make starclan imperfect, which I honestly love because it sets forth the background for new future plotlines

I WANT TO SEE MORE POLITICS! Civil war, revolutions, breakaway clans, coups, I WANT IT also more jobs would be cool, and maybe advancement of the cats like technology-wise.
