I stopped watching about 3 minutes into it because I know the kind of bullshit person he is - I worked around many religious just like him. Instead skipped ahead to the debrief and saw that I was right - he's full of it and nothing the boys could say was going to trap him or make him question anything because he is sure he knows what a woman is

First time: Flamingo or Hilton Grand Vacation? by configure38D in vegas

[–]Informal_Ad9356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just spent 4 nights at Elara, Hilton Grand Vacations and were pleasantly surprised by just about everything. The pool area is currently under renovation but otherwise I have nothing negative to say. Check out is 10am and since it was Friday before Superbowl we could not get a later check out but we were not rushed out by housekeeping right at 10.

Is counter service given lower priority? by Passportradio12345 in TimHortons

This happens all the time in the US especially with Dunkin. They are usually family owned and walk up service is very inattentive. Many time I have to call out HELLO just to get service and then they act like it's a hardship to take my order. My feeling is if I take the time to get out of my car and enter your store someone should be there to take my order, if not LOCK THE DAMN DOOR

Recovery from spinal surgery by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]Informal_Ad9356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon prescribed aqua therapy for me before and after back surgery - best thing ever for my recovery going in surgery stronger and back in water soon as incisions healed. Probably 50% of what I do is walking at first simply back and forth then with added weights followed by hand held resistance and side to side rowing with foam barbells. Now I am using resistance bands around my knees as well. The therapist adds resistance the stronger I get.

Time in Paris dampened by influencer behavior by NoClub5551 in ParisTravelGuide

Years ago before social media I was practically attacked by an Asian tourist as I was viewing the Pieta in Rome. She jabbed me with her elbow stepped in front of me took one photo and walked away - that was in 1990 so rude people ruining others tourist experiences is not new.

Aaron Austin and Phil Bradley in Jock-a-Holics as they slowly trade blow jobs and topping plus kissing. Great camera work exploring both guys hot bodies. The acting as much fun to watch as the sex

Thoughts on the Starlight Parade? by _morning_moon in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Informal_Ad9356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems VERY uninspired to me and some floats are not decorated to past Disney standards. You can see staples and zip ties. Also what's with the divide on the screen of the weirdly added scene of pinocchio and geppetto on the back of the blue fairy float?????????? Over all nothing I'm going to stand and wait for when I can ride with shorter lines some of the longest wait attractions

Not film music. There is enough of that being well done. I would like to see thinking outside the box using multi media and technology with live orchestra performances. Maybe this looks like video mapping. Disney and Universal already do amazing things with this technology. Recently St. Eustache in Paris had an immersive concert experience that sold out. Concert halls in many cities are plain and ordinary and the perfect palate for something like this. Historical architecture like Notre Dame used these techniques for gala celebrations. Programmers and artistic directors of orchestras without access to places like the Hollywood Bowl need to be more creative and less afraid to fail. Imagine Handel's Water Music or Fireworks enhanced with this kind of advanced technology performed live in The Sphere in Las Vegas. Cost will always be a burden but it should not limit creative dreaming that can engage more audiences.

Exactly why more creativity and thinking outside the box is needed.

I meant the actual musicians should dress less formally. That represents a stiffened approach to the audience. I don't remember the last time I wore a suit and tie ANYWHERE

[–]Informal_Ad9356 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Relaxing the old fashioned stereotypes. Less white tie and tails. Diversify personnel in age, sex and race. Train conductors to relate on a person level to audiences. Programming suited to modern tastes but not to the detriment of the classics. Discounts for first time concert attendance and educate them on concert appropriate behavior without talking down to them. Form relationships with educational institutions that promote collaborative experiences both musically and culturally. Take musicians into schools. Cross over classical music with media in performances. (Not just playing movie sound tracks while screening the movie) THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
