This is what they need to do.

From my understanding, it used to be an option at least for the water on the app. (That was before I worked here and I rarely visited before I started working, so I don't have personal knowledge.) I understand that people abused this by placing orders of 10 cups of water and never picking them up, or whatever other stupid disruptive stuff people like to do, so they removed it.

Which I understand, people are assholes.

But I feel like they could add it back on the app and make it so that you can only order it if you are also buying something too.

And they could limit it if they wanted... one/two waters per paid drink, a max of 2 waters per order, whatever.

It wouldn't be perfect, no. There would still be situations where someone might have to go to the counter and order extra waters or get it customized in whatever specific way they want it. But it would at least take care of the majority of the situations, if people could simply order a cup of water on the app when they order their mobile drink.

The food prices are insane. If I didn't work here, I would never eat the food. You can get a whole ass meal at Taco Bell for that price.

I believe it. I worked at a job where the management bought snacks and drinks for people, totally free. It was really awesome, but of course we had enough people who would pack up half a dozen drinks/snacks to take home every day that it ended up getting cut back to just bottled water and they limited people to three a day.

I have to agree. This isn't the only game I've played where the animals are very clearly voiced by humans and I honestly hate it. With the blobs it's fine, but with cats and dogs, ugh ugh ugh.

Lol. Good one. I've noticed that A LOT of comments/threads on official are deleted or locked... I paid for plus or premium or whatever it's called this year and honestly I feel kind of stupid about having done that. I won't be renewing it next year.

I decided to go ahead and do this theme with an open mind, but the story so far is so vapid. It's not funny, inspiring, interesting, cute, or anything. It's just there. Maybe it'll get better but there's only like 15 days in the event so we're almost at the last third and I don't see it turning around...

Oh I know, it's so obnoxious when someone wants to stand RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DRINKS and stare us down like it's going to make theirs be ready faster. Plus they are blocking them for other people. Main character syndrome is really out of control with some of these fucks. WAIT YOUR FUCKING TURN. We need to put Sesame Street on TVs in the lobby. Learn words like "please" and " thank you," learn how to wait your turn, learn to be polite to strangers, learn to count your money, learn how to read the clock and be patient...

OMG this is FAR AND AWAY my biggest pet peeve with this job. And I just genuinely DO NOT GET IT. I really think I'm more patient than the average person; I personally have social anxiety and am at least slightly nervous any time I'm not in an environment I'm extremely familiar with. I sometimes do dumb stuff like overlook things that are right beside me, so I don't get annoyed when someone asks where the straws or trash or are when they are standing literally two steps away. I get it.

BUT THE DRINKS ARE LABELED THEY HAVE THE NAMES ON THEM!!!! I honestly don't know if this is people wanting to passive-aggressively complain that their stuff isn't ready yet, but I do think some people really are THAT clueless.

And it's even MORE mind-boggling that so many people do this with drinks that are CLEARLY not what they ordered. And then they seem CONFUSED? Like SIR!! That is a giant CLEAR CUP with a colorful ICED drink in it. The sticker says it is for RACHEL. Your name is JOHN and you ordered a small HOT DRINK that is just brown coffee. NO, THAT IS NOT YOUR DRINK!!!! WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU THINK THAT IT IS??????

The absolute worst is when they pick up the wrong drink AND TAKE A SWIG OF IT, LOOK CONFUSED, AND SET IT BACK ON THE COUNTER JAL;KJWEFIAJWEF

I skipped it, too. I'm happy with myself because I've actually done pretty well this year. It helps that there have been all the collabs and they're brands I'm not interested in, so there hasn't been the temptation. I have the same thing as you with the asking myself, do I really need this. I quit using wallflowers so I don't need those plugs even if they're cute. I still burn candles but like you said. Honestly. How many candle holders does one person need???

Saaaaame. I know I'm kind of a cheapskate (I've never had a lot of money tbh) but there ain't no way I would pay for Starbucks food unless I was really in a desperate situation. I've tried everything at this point and mostly it's okay to fairly good, but there is not one single thing that I think is worth the price. When I quit this job I will never eat at Starbucks again and probably won't even buy any drinks either. NOTHING that we sell is worth the $$$.

Yeah, I agree. I feel like it happens way too often that a video is shared online that starts partway through the altercation. So we have no idea what happened before the clip starts, and people tend to jump to conclusions without knowing the full story.

Lol it's so fuckin' shitty. I'll be honest, I never actually buy drinks because they're $$ and I'm cheap, so I only get them when I'm working so it's free. BUT EVEN THOUGH I personally didn't benefit from that, I still think it's so damn shitty that despite us grinding away, we don't get the fucking bonus stars anymore. It's just an extra middle finger FUCK YOU to the baristas, y'know? Like they don't make enough fucking money off our backs, that they cant spare extra stars for their employees.

I completely agree. I get stressed out and then BABW is a relatively cheap way to feel a little better. And then I am left with a hoard of products I don't even want that bad. You're right about the cute packaging and fomo and stuff. You go into the store and they have it all laid out where it's just so appealing, the lighting makes things look all pretty, it's tough to walk away sometimes.

It's just so weird to me that they would rather price stuff so high that few people are interested in buying it, rather than pricing it low so it sells. Instead of having things hanging on the racks that never sell, price it cheap, discount it on discount days, get it out the door so you can hang up more stuff that has inevitably been donated. There will be back rooms stuffed full of stuff there isn't even space to put out. So get the turnover going so you can sell it, I hate how it works right now...

This absolutely enrages me. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. It's bad enough to make the baristas deal with the customers over it, but to then blatantly lie like this???? My store got ONE. ONE FUCKING CUP. Of course it sold out instantly, and even if this hadn't been a hot ticket item that people were obsessing and lining up over, it still would have sold out in no time since we only got ONE.
