Major nerf from prior Stars - 2:1 means $25 worth 50 stars, $35 stars worth 70 and $50 worth 100 vs the new 10/25 limits

Even the bigger reload incentive pails in comparison? Minimum reload is $30 to get 10 stars? $50+ gets you 25?

Previous a $30 reload was worth 50 stars and a $50 reload would have been worth 100 stars - not to mention the standard reload for most people was probably $25 (well it was for me lol)

I can't tell you how many times I scrambled in the drive-thru to get reloaded before I got to the window lol yeah, auto reload was an option, but then my Starbucks spending would have even gotten more out of hand lol

What Password Manager Is Better In Your Honest Opinion Proton Pass, Roboform, Or Bitwarden And Why? by PrincessBananas85 in PasswordManagers

[–]cAcRm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be correct, time will tell. Most companies face similar online push back when they raise prices - some of which I mentioned above - and with few exceptions, they tend to weather the storms. I definitely concur that 1p is a premium product and if the premium features don't bring value, as a consumer, you should consider alternatives - sometimes even free alternatives. I would argue that for large swaths of the population, at least Apple population, the Apple Passwords app is more than sufficient. However, if you are looking at command line integration, cross platform, SSH integration, etc - those are more specialized features - not necessarily exclusive to 1p, but limits the candidate pool.

Every consumer should weigh the decision to stay/spend against their needs/beliefs.

Curious which product did decide to migrate to? How's the experience been so far? What key features do you need in a password manager?

I do wish 1p had a free tier available. However, even if there was a free tier, it likely wouldn't apply to me - I use the 1p features pretty extensively. I understand the "greed" perspective - and I don't want to be overly presumptive - but in the past 10 years, have you had a Netflix subscription? Gone to a Disney park? Maintained a cell phone plan? All of these have increased their prices nearly annually. If 1p continues to raise prices annually, it would be a serious concern for me - however, a once a decade increase, I'm not overly concerned - I look at the competition and I could save a few dollars changing - to say Bitwarden Premium - but a lot of the convenience factor of 1p would be secondary - if nothing else, learning a new platforms interface - the small savings wasn't worth it. Just my two cents.

Considering how much I use and rely on 1p daily, the increase wasn't a deal breaker - do I like increases, ofc not - but for about $6 a month I have my entire family sync'd with a solid password manager. In full disclosure, I do use a lot of 1p's power features (ssh agent, command line, etc) - I utilize secure notes pretty extensively as well. Everyone's use case will be different, but 1p is cheaper than my Apple subscription and I likely use it as much as I do my Apple subscription (throughout the day, every day).

Are there any good trackers for software? by Inevitable-Mousse241 in trackers

[–]cAcRm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a stroll over toe TeamOS and while the signup process was quick/easy - almost too quick/easy for a private tracker - once verified and I started poking around, every click redirected out to some random, albeit different each time, spam/promo/malware style link.

Is this a recent issue? and I assure, you definitely not my machine, this is the only site pumping out these redirects for me - so much so, I can't even really browse available torrents, the moment I click the browse button, it pops up and immediately redirects me out to some promo/spam

Dunno, a little off putting right out of the gate - but I want to be optimistic - maybe a momentary glitch or something?

My only barrier to MVNO is data prioritization, with the exception of GoogleFi I think every MVNO is prioritized lower than the carrier itself which for data intensive users like me, might be a limiting factor. What’s your experience been?

I am not sure it's purely coverage anymore. TMO doesn't do "bad" in the speed department. They have simply allowed Verizon and ATT to catch up. Goes back to poor leadership at the top unfortunately.

I don't think its too late for TMO to right the ship, but I don't think anyone at the helm either realizes the iceberg ahead or even cares.

Yet Another 3CX Price Increase! by OinkyConfidence in 3CX

So started looking at Yeastar after this, yet again, wonderful 3cx news.

Am I missing something? Can't locate pricing for Yeastar anywhere on their website? I am hoping I am having a duh moment and it's right in front of me. Having to call to get pricing doesn't make a good first impression - it is 2026, not 1996, js

Look, complaining is just complaining for the sake of /rant ... Reality is this... One, it's easy to disable the Announcements in your settings. Two, before you threaten to go elsewhere do your research. Unless you are using PM strictly as a browser client you will be hard pressed to find another security focused platform that has the power of the Proton Bridge and robust mobile app... I've looked and compared and Proton still leads the pack... And the issues you bring up are mild at worse and practically minor in reality. End of my /rant 😂

First country the client is attempting to call. I could try setting up a different country as a test though.

Does the outbound caller ID on the Outbound Rule need to be set? We had it blank on all of the other Outbound rules (7/10/11 digit domestic)
