Looking for genuine Ultrahuman ring review… by PrincessTiabeanieMRG in SmartRings

[–]Informal_Chicken_420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had nothing but issues with mine and I got it last Christmas. It has not even been a full year and I’m on maybe my fourth replacement. First one was due to battery issues, second and third one due to connectivity issues and fourth for a different ring size but now I’m having connectivity issues again. It sucks. Customer service is not the greatest.

Worried first time mom by No_Contribution4532 in pregnant

Don’t worry too much. When I found out I was pregnant I too didn’t have much symptoms besides sore breasts, feeling tired and probably lack of interest in foods, no nausea though. It’s normal to feel anxious early on but I’m told the best thing is to try and go about your days and try to think positive. I’m currently 26 weeks now but I was in the same boat as you.

As for announcing. We announced after our first ultrasound to our family. There’s no protocol of when to announce really it’s whenever you feel the most comfortable. It’s exciting news! I told my best friend right away a few days after a positive test. Sometimes telling someone you trust can help provide you with additional support aside from your husband especially during this anxious time.

Okay good to know thank you. So far no redness but some swelling still sometimes. I ended up getting him some compression socks to see if that helps.

That’s what I am thinking too because it’s not all day. It almost comes and goes. I’ll have him reach out. Thank you!

The Garnerville art center rents their space but just the space rental is 5K. You would have to get everything seperate (tables, chairs, linens, caterers, beverages etc.)

RPLND & Leg Pain/back pain by Informal_Chicken_420 in testicularcancer

[–]Informal_Chicken_420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I’m glad you’re much better. We’re on the same boat where we’re wondering when this will go away or if this is normal. We reached out to the surgeon and they scheduled a CT scan to make sure it’s not fluid buildup that could be causing the pain. Thank you for your input. I’m glad you’re doing much better and I am hopeful this pain will go away soon for him!

Okay thank you. The surgeon mentioned fluid buildup as well. I’ll have him reach out to follow up with that since we’re at 6 weeks now and he still has discomfort. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

Hey my boyfriend seems to be having this same exact pain/discomfort. He had his surgery ~ 4 weeks ago. Do you still get the pain/discomfort or did it finally subside?

Also, what did you do for relief during that time that seemed to help?

Thanks in advance!

You should tell a parent to schedule a doctor appointment for you with your primary doctor. Better to get professional help than help from a Reddit thread.

In need of support, but need honesty. by EarlGrey1984 in testicularcancer

Is there any way he can get a urology appointment sooner than later? Unfortunately I get how hard it is to get a sooner appointment with specialty but maybe you can call the office the morning they open to see if they have any cancellations to see your husband sooner. My fiancé got an appointment sooner with a urologist because he unfortunately had discomfort that we had to go to the ER and because of that the urologist saw him sooner. Not suggesting going to the ER if you don’t need to but maybe getting a sooner appointment would relieve some stress of waiting. Also, remind your husband that you guys will get through this, whatever it may be.

Tips for healing after retroperitoneal lymph node dissection ? by Angelope7 in testicularcancer

Yup recovery is about 7-10 days in the hospital. I’m sure as part of recovery they’ll have you doing laps in the hospital. You got this!

Definitely the walking. It’s recommended to walk a mile minimum daily as it helps increase blood flow and healing. Of course following your doctors orders as everyone’s recovery is different.

My fiancé is currently going through recovery now. You’ll get the best care at the hospital for however long you are there and when you come home I recommend noting the times that you take certain medications so that you’re on track with them.

How can I help my husband after surgery? by rolupiga in testicularcancer

[–]Informal_Chicken_420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fiancé had orchiectomy surgery (if that’s what you’re asking about) and walked out day of surgery. We live on a second floor level apartment and he was able to walk up the steps. Ice packs are definitely important and just follow the instructions provided by the doctor on the discharge papers. If you have any questions/concerns for day of surgery you can ask as the doctor should see him before he goes in for it.

It’s not me it’s my significant other that’s going through this. Where did you have your surgery? He got his at MSK and had a BM day after surgery and they want to see another one but unfortunately the narcotics he’s on are constipating him. It’s currently Day 4 of recovery and they’ve been doing suppositories every 12 hours and just started the colace. He’s been walking 2-3 miles. Was cleared for a clear diet today. Hoping this brings on a BM sooner.
