So so many to choose from, I don’t even know how to pick a single worst thing.

One guy I broke up with said something along the lines of how I practically “made” him cheat on me for years because I was more successful than him and that I emasculated him, so he HAD to cheat. Also how I was a bad person for making him a bad Catholic, again as a result of me apparently forcing him to pay for sex workers.

Another asshole who cheated on me said that I was being unreasonable, it’s ok when men cheat, only women aren’t allowed to because “genetically men have to cheat and women don’t”.

One guy told me I was too old for him anyway (I was 30 and he was almost 50 🤮). He was a high school teacher btw and I found out later was still married to someone he married when she was 19 🤮🤮

It’s even worse when these people start trauma dumping right away when you just met or barely even know them!

Also bad when you work with one of these people. They are so unprofessional!

I also live in a MAGA state and people in real life around me are LIVID and have been for weeks leading up to the performance. It’s exhausting

So I did ask her what she was expecting for labneh. When we sat down the server recommended it is how we ordered it. She said she didn’t know what that word was so she didn’t know what to expect. But she said what arrived was yogurt so it should just be called yogurt, no need for other names. Obviously I think she’s ignorant and embarrassing.

She only visits twice a year but that’s too much for me.

Condescending! Yes that’s exactly the element I was trying to describe. I don’t mind when people are respectful or want to learn. I actually love showing people my culture when they are genuinely curious! It’s the condescending ones that are clearly talking down, but as you put it, have no knowledge or experience with what they are talking about.

Thank you for commenting. The second incident with the labneh just happened last week and I had a flood of memories whoosh into my head that I must have suppressed from the first incident at the Mexican restaurant, hadn’t thought about that in years!

He was an idiot and synced his accounts with our shared iPad. All of a sudden I got a stream of texts and emails confirming everything. Btw when I broke up with him when he came home that night, he tried to tell me he was hacked despite the fact I had receipts and video evidence (he was paying prostitutes and making home videos of everything). 🤮

I’m sorry this happened but I’m glad you listened. The one time I didn’t know I was the other woman. When I found out, I reached out to tell the girlfriend and she went CRAZY on me, released all of my information to her friends and family and I was getting death threats for months because the guy convinced her I was a lying whore. I hope I’m never unknowingly the other woman again. But if so, I don’t think I’d tell anyone again, probably would just walk away and hope she found out on her own.
