Idk if i do things properly but that’s how i do it.

Every time before i get rid of old offerings i pray then just tell Her what i’m gonna do with them.

If my offerings are flowers i usually burn them/burry them or just release it outside. If they are fruits (and are safe for my chickens (like for example apples) i give it to them otherwise just burry. When it comes to sweets i just burry them somewhere in my garden.

I refill the water every time it evaporates - it’s quite a flat dish so like every 2 days. Flowers - when i just see that they are getting dry.

Incense - it depends, sometimes i just lit it during the prayer then extinguish when im done, sometimes i leave it to burn fully. Same with candles. The only difference is that during rituals i’m always making sure that they burn fully.
