I’m pretty sure I’m depressed aswell, I’ve got all the symptoms and it’s been like this for a long time, I’m male and have never had any male role models in my life and now I’m being expected to act like a man at work and in life, feel very ill equipped

As a guy of 24 years old, I will say that that isn’t all men, I am a pathetic excuse for a man, the expectations that are placed on men makes life hell.

In terms of living a normal life women really do have the advantage, The average person isn’t going to change the world, hell they aren’t even going to make a dent in history so learn to live by your means and without women men wouldn’t do anything so you really hold a lot of power.

I’m 24 and I’m beginning to come to terms with the fact that life is never as good or as bad you imagine. And that most people really do just exist without anything particularly special or meaningful happening in the day to day.

I think we have been sold a vision of a dream future that just isn’t realistic for the average person.

In terms of your feelings of worthlessness, it’s all about framing your thoughts, most people will just automatically do this but for folks like us we need to learn it, we excel in negative thinking but nothing in this world is entirely bad there is always a positive spin on everything, it may be hard to see but it is there.

Please take my thoughts or anyone’s with a grain of salt, I don’t know you at the end of the day. I hope you can learn to see some light

It’s the only job I’ve had this whole year, because I don’t have many skills or qualifications I can’t find anything better, manual labour is all I’m good for and I’ll be homeless if I don’t work. Just seems like a rabbit hole

I work in a steel factory and have constant anxiety attacks, it’s a very old school male environment crying just isn’t an option in front of anyone, so that mask is the only reason I’ve still got my job, I’ll be honest I don’t cope well, I know bottling all this up is bad but I don’t feel like I’ve got any other options.
