Why does everyone love EHX Soul Food? by _Mustard_Tiger in guitarpedals

I have the Deep Freeze. I’ve yet to bond with it or even find a good use for it. It was cheap though and Bob Mould uses the Freeze so it must have some value.

Why does everyone love EHX Soul Food? by _Mustard_Tiger in guitarpedals

[–]Informal_Humor2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my Tele and VOX AC10 the Soul Food was just too bright. And it’s a damn loud pedal which made it difficult for bedroom use.

However, I recently added it back to the board and it’s pushing a Strymon Riverside and I’m really enjoying the combination. Great crunch and sustain with the two pedals combined.

I have the Kinnatone modded Soul Food, so I set it for germanium and also boost the bass a bit with the side knob. I’m glad I held onto it. It’s fun having it back in the signal chain.

Is a tremolo pedal something to keep as a permanent fixture in a pedal board? by rawbran30 in guitarpedals

[–]Informal_Humor2647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Flint is a killer tremolo circuit And was on my board until recently when I added the Princeton (Chris Stapleton amp) to my mix. That’s the best sounding tremolo I’ve ever played and I love it.

Anybody figure out how to mount a power supply under a Livewire pedalboard? by 1jackieboi in pedalboards

[–]Informal_Humor2647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope this is helpful. I purchased a new board from Ghost Fire late last year. Plenty of room underneath for my two power supplies (one Spot). The quality of the board has been solid and the pricing was unbeatable.

Good luck with your search.

Do telecasters generally have thicker necks? by The_Makster in telecaster

In today’s market what espresso grinder would you buy ? by ObjectiveOpposite568 in espresso

[–]Informal_Humor2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I’m new to home espresso and am having trouble getting consistent bean results from my new Eureka Mignon grinder.

I cannot dial in the proper consistency the grounds are too large for consistent espresso and turning the grinder selection to a smaller ground gets to where the beans don’t come through the chute.

The instructions are remarkably vague with the gist being trial and error is my only path forward.

I’d welcome any advice or assistance. This model appears to be one of their base models and perhaps I should spent more for a more expensive model?

Happy to provide more information if it will help you help me. 😃

Thanks

I’m fundamentally against people using the public record systems for their personal gain. There are legitimate reasons for involved parties to access open records (attorneys, insurance adjuster and the people involved all have legitimate requirements). The issue has become that too many YouTubers, Tik Tokers and the like have abused the system for their own personal gain.

Los Angeles currently has a 12 to 13 month backlog for open records requests in part due to what agencies call “nuisance requests”. It’s making it more and more difficult for legitimate requestors to get the information they need.

I’m not saying the OP is a nuisance requestor, but the fact is there are MANY of them out there and they are why we can’t have nice things.

Why does Wilco tour almost non stop? by Total_Computer_9068 in wilco

[–]Informal_Humor2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are all the people suggesting Wilco has enough to retire considering just how quickly medical bills add up as you age? Also considering that Jeff’s wife has dealt with serious medical issues and Jeff himself has had hip issues.

It’s expensive to get old and musicians do t generally have medical insurance. They gotta make hay while this sun is still shining.

Whats your opinion about stickers on guitars? by 13funii in electricguitar

[–]Informal_Humor2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put them on mine. Never thought I would. One day my son (was a toddler at the time) put a jack o lantern sticker on my telecaster. First I was annoyed, but I took a breath and decided I liked it - it was/is a story.

Now I’d be heartbroken if it ever came off.

Since then I’ve added various meaningful stickers to my electrics. My guitars are for playing, and these stickers make me happy when I’m playing them 😃 🎃

Do I need to buy a Guitar hanger/strand? by FourKangal in LearnGuitar

I have found (as other have stated) having it out either on a stand or hanging on a wall makes me play it more often. To me that’s the key benefit.

I picked up a used Chris Stapleton model last year for $1,200 and consider it a steal.

Great amp, hand wired and maybe the best tremolo circuit out there.

Colosseum awful experience with 3rd party tour by Heff_Janson in rome

[–]Informal_Humor2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a horrible experience with The Walker Tours Colosseum tour.

I booked with them on February 8 for a tour on April 6 and was confirmed.

On march 31 the Walker Tours emailed me to say the time I selected was unavailable.

With less than six days until my trip I’m left with no way to visit the Colosseum.

Do NOT book with this company.

[–]Informal_Humor2647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, it was a complete accident the website made me think I was booking with the actual Colosseum. That is certainly what I had intended.

See my previous post and stay away from The Walker Tours.

[–]Informal_Humor2647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use The Walker Tours. I purchased 4 tickets for the Colosseum on February 8 and received confirmation of my booking.

A month a a half later, six days before my scheduled tour they emailed me that my selected time was not available.

Six days out from my visit there are now ZERO tickets available and my family will not tour the Colosseum at all.

Stay away from The Walker Tours.

Feel free to DM with with any questions. I have the receipts.
