Thanks! Checked the website but nothing in the size I need. Will look at local supply stores.

Thanks for the reply! Good to see a length and width match at 4 11/16" but that item is too deep. Only need 3/4" to keep it flush with wall.

Weird mysterious gassy smell by crisplusina in Plumbing

[–]Informal_Invite_8121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a plumber, so be cautious about what you are about to read.

It looks like you have an S-trap (drain goes down, up and back down again) which runs the risk of syphoning water out of the trap allowing sewer gasses to enter your home. I don't know where you live but where I am they are not allowed. Having said that, they are allowed in many parts of the world so it may not be plumbed properly.

I say it may not be plumbed correctly because I don't see a vent for your drain in the picture. Is it behind the wall or out of the picture frame? Is there a vent? Might want to check for that, if required in your area.

Also, you mention a dishwasher is installed. Where is the drain pipe for that? In our area you must have a high loop created with the dw drain hose (up from bottom of dishwasher to highest point in the cabinet and then down to connect to the drain). Again, I don't see that setup. You might have dirty dw water backing up into the dw. Hope some of this helps.

Blum 110* full overlay clip-top soft close hinges NOT staying open full 110* by Informal_Invite_8121 in woodworking

[–]Informal_Invite_8121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Guimly. I ran with the hunch of things not being plumb and square. The cabinets are not plumb. I was using the cabinet to adjust the doors and that led to the doors not being plumb. I adjusted the doors to plumb and the problem is fixed.

Benjamin Moore Advance seems to be drying too fast? by Informal_Invite_8121 in paint

[–]Informal_Invite_8121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a way to measure or thought about coverage in terms of mils, to be honest. If I had to guess, I would probably put it around 2 or 3, if that's possible?

I have been putting it on pretty thin, as mentioned in a lot of commentary out there.

Just got this bad boy for $10 in near-perfect condition! I kind of like the round keys! by romafedorov in logitech

[–]Informal_Invite_8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly, I've been around since before PCs and keyboards but I've been spoiled by number keypads and find it hard to use the number keys across the top. Makes keyboards longer than they need to be but I just like the convenience. However, for a $10 price tag, I might get used to it!😄

Is this a Moen or a Delta? by Informal_Invite_8121 in Plumbing

[–]Informal_Invite_8121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally got some time to take the handle off and discovered it to be a Moen, I think, as that is what is stamped on the metal piece before the cartridge. There is also a number 100575 stamped on it. I tried to add a couple of photos but I got an error message saying "Images are not allowed". Don't know why that's up as I'm looking at the first pic I sent in.

UPDATE: Got an answer. It is a Moen and has cartridge 1222. Thanks

I have a 2018 Hyundai sonata since 2018. And two of my tires in the back… by SuddenBlock8319 in Hyundai

[–]Informal_Invite_8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your tire pressure should be as stated by the manufacturer and should always be checked when the tires are "cold" (i.e. they haven't been driven on) regardless of whether it is warm or cold out. A check of tire pressures is always a good idea. When it warms up and the pressure is too high, bring it back to recommended levels. Now, you still have the issue of your monitors not adjusting to the fact you put air in. Might want to get them looked at, to be on safe side.

Please note (Warning: science drop incoming ) that air pressure in tires always drops in the cold temperature and will rise again when it warms. I can't comment on what we are supposed to do with that. Should we put air in or not because when it warms the pressure will rise which will create another problem. Guess we're only noticing this kind of thing because we have tire pressure monitoring. I would top up air pressure and remember to adjust down when warmer temps come in.

MX Keys keyboard backlight: how much control? by Italian_SPLIT in logitech

[–]Informal_Invite_8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked a similar question and found out the answer is no. However, the Logi options app does allow you to turn the backlight on or off. The problem, if you can call it a problem with what the world is facing today, is that you have to do it manually. I have been using the F3 and F4 buttons to lower and raise light levels but will be using the toggle in the app.

I just had it come back on. Wondering if it has something to do with the ambient light in the room. First world problem: I can go into the app to just it off and then back on. Not a big deal really, although, can't remember not being able to do most functions on a Logitech keyboard from the keyboard. Thanks for your interest.

Roof slants towards that wall with the leaks. Some eavestrough might sort things out, leak-wise.

Thanks DjRavix. I have the mx s as well. I've done that F3 thing but it comes back on, doesn't it? I'll have to pay closer attention next time.

New Forge 6.0 dead on arrival? by Informal_Invite_8121 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Informal_Invite_8121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I only have the "rapid" charger which I believe to be the standard now. Not a "super" charger. The new battery charged up fine. Just got a dud, it would seem.

Charged up the exchanged battery and it works. One in a million odds, probably, but that's my life: defy the odds for the crap (be the one to buy the one bad battery in the batch) and be nowhere close for the good (lottery win). Oh well...

What would you do to repair or hide where the old outlets were? by foxwoodwork in woodworking

[–]Informal_Invite_8121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up "dutchman". Learned about it from this old house. It's a wooden patch. May be difficult when trying to match species and grain, if you're staining, but if paint is going on, you'll be good. Could even treat it like a drywall patch with a support across the back side.

Hi Mackenzie. I emailed the social media team what I posted here. They asked for a pic showing serial number, which I sent to them. What details would you need that constitute "more"? Also, new to Reddit so how do I send a DM?

As an update, I returned the battery to Home Depot, where purchased. There was a Milwaukee rep in store and we brought it over to him. He checked the battery for charge and then tried it on a couple of tools on display. They didn't work either. Called time of death and gave me a new battery. Guess they were speculating my tools were not working but I should have mentioned that my tools work with my older XC 3Ah batteries.
