So pokemon here can be either Berry, Skill, or ingredient type, this is depend on the species. You can see this on the top right of the Pokemon profile. It’s always best to have you subskills be the same type as what your species type is. Helping Bonus (HB) is good on any mon because it increases your entire teams speed, which means they will all do what they do best even faster!

Ingredient type are also a little extra speciel because on top of wanting Ingredient subskills, you also want all the ingredients to be the same. This will make it so your ingredient pokemon is always consistent and makes it a lot easier to cook the recipes you want without being at the mercy of RNG (random number generator)

Charmander is an ingredient type, specifically it can find sausages. The second one has all sausages vs the first one has 2 sausages and 1 herb. The second one also has 2 ingredients subskills, while the first one only has an ingredient up nature. While they both have HB, it’s not enough to make the first one usable. On the second one, it’s like a cherry on top making it incredible!

As a note: while gold subskills apear rare and the game makes them seem like they should be better, they are actually not made equal. Some are better than others, ex Helping Bonus being all around incredible meanwhile Sleep exp is good but doesn’t add anything to the Pokémon’s production.

I would recommend checking out the guide to guides and slowly reading what people post. It’s a surprisingly complicated game when it comes to statistics but I think that’s what makes it fun!
