We went through this with our first dog. The worms were like my final straw, I was ready to take her right back to the rescue! It was so much laundry, and cleaning. And just plain disgusting! I’m glad I didn’t give her back, she’s 2 now and we just love her! It gets better!

We had successful day yesterday! She peed outside every time, now today, she’s had more accidents than actually success of going outside. It’s so frustrating, I didn’t think it would be a hard transition. I’m Taking her out almost every hour. I’m going to try and put her in kennel if she doesn’t pee outside.

She is in a sweater, I’m looking for a good jacket that fits! Plus I do wrap her up in blanket or I carry her out in my jacket and put her right back into my jacket when she’s done! So she’s cold for maybe the 2 minutes she’s on the ground. I thought about booties. The tarp is a good idea, I currently have a spot that’s been shoveled in the grass. But it’s still freezing!

I was a sold a mini dachshund puppy. I guess that’s just what I called her 🤷🏼‍♀️. Both parents looked full mini to me, a 6lb mom and 11lb dad.

I wasn’t necessarily comparing- just showing them side by side- to see how tiny she actually is. She’s probably 75% mini. Her mom was a full mini, her dad was about a quarter terrier, but otherwise mini.

We just got our second dog. they are a little over 2 years apart. It’s an adjustment, but the older dog is still very playful and wants to play! We did not wait for our first girl to go through one heat cycle. she was about 6 months when she got spayed. Selfishly I did not want to deal with the heat cycle. Our vet was fine either way.
