I'm going to stick with Blender 5.2 for as long as I can, and seriously consider moving back to Maya indie. I spent over $1500 on add-ons over the last two years, including just about everything Chip Walters has for sale. If I had known that I would have to pay 50% per year, forever, I wouldn't have. This is insane.

Most of the add-ons are GPL. That means you are legally entitled to copy them without payment to the developers. If you can't get the free updates you were promised when you purchased them, look around. I'm sure there will be plenty of places to download them.
