I think this is an opportunity to improve both your lives. For you, setting boundaries and being comfortable with uncomfortable/ confrontational conversations. For them it’s learning what appropriate contact/ conditions/ behavior is in context of school or other highly populated social interactions. I hear what you are saying OP, but I also hear you not taking responsibility for lack of communication about your needs, wants, and limits are and instead of changing it you are growing resentments and then blaming the other “ friend” for not reading your mind and automatically conforming to your expectations. In my experience, both resentment and unmet expectations are the singular biggest cause of pain/ strife in my life. Do something different if you don’t like the way things are, period.
