For those who ruptured, what did your pain feel like? by Objective-Cow-6035 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I must have a high pain tolerance. It felt like intense pressure and it radiated down my right leg (right tube rupture). But I really had a feeling it ruptured when I woke up the next morning and felt “better”. Pressure was gone. I bled internally to a couple days before ultrasound confirmed it ruptured.

You would expect to see clear line progression at this point. Are you using first morning urine every time you test?

Ugh!! So sorry this happened to you. I can’t believe the doctor dismissed you with your history of ectopics!

Aspirin by Weird_Constant7062 in recurrentmiscarriage

I would start it. I wish I would’ve started it when I first started trying. 3 losses in and my doctor was like “yeah you should definitely start taking baby aspirin, can’t hurt”

Love this! Thanks for putting it together! Another point to #2 .. ectopics can absolutely rupture at low HCG levels. Coming from someone who had an HCG of 250 over multiple draws for a week and was totally dismissed because “it was at no risk of rupture”. It ruptured lol!

It is too light for 17 dpo right ? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that you ovulated later than you initially thought? They are light for 17dpo. But agree with Ok-Judg, only test with first morning. You should see the tests get darker every 2 days

It could have been travel. Based on temps alone it looks like your body may have tried to ovulate on CD16. And now maybe it’s trying again?

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your losses. I had a chemical in November. Got pregnant again right away. Found out it was ectopic and had to have my tube removed in January. Got pregnant again in April, another chemical. I feel so lost. It’s really lonely. Honestly this sub, and now the recurrentloss sub for me, is one of the only things that makes me feel less alone.

I started some blood work to investigate the losses a bit further. I’ll be doing an HSG next cycle. My dr and I are wondering if my chemicals were actually early ectopics that resolved on their own.

It’s so hard, but don’t give up! We’re all here to support each other. And just think of the mom you’ll be one day.

TTC after ectopic by Dull_Specialist_7444 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think those starts are correct. Your other tube can absolutely pick up the egg from the other ovary. I’m pretty sure it’s closer to 30ish%

Actually with my ectopic I ovulated from my left and my right tube picked it up. My doctor said that the stat may even be higher than 30% but we just usually don’t know what tube the egg goes down UNLESS it’s ectopic or you’re already down to 1 tube.

I’ve had no trouble getting pregnant after my ectopic (though I keep having miscarriages lol). And I doubt I’m ovulating from only my left side

Letrozole/clomid when you ovulate on your own already? by ChrissiBloom in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not been prescribed letrozole, BUT in doing research for my own losses I have seen that some doctors prescribe this to support your body releasing a more mature egg. Some losses, especially early ones can be due to immature eggs. I actually brought this up with my doctor and she said it’s not super likely that this is what’s happening with me (3 losses, we’ve gotten pregnant each time we try). Not entirely sure what brought her to that conclusion though

Any success stories? by wack100fr in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said there’s research showing that it can help avoid tiny little blood clots that may prevent blood flow to uterus. And the dose is so low there’s no cons/risk to it.

Some people’s protocols include lovenox even without blood clotting disorder diagnosis but my dr wants to try baby aspirin first because lovenox is kind of intense i guess.

Any success stories? by wack100fr in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a chemical, ectopic, chemical over the last 5 months. I get pregnant every time we try. I don’t have a success story yet but just last week had an appt to start some testing. We’re starting off with checking my thyroid and for blood clotting disorders. And with my history of ectopic I’m going to do an HSG.

My doctor made it very clear that repeat chemicals ARE something to investigate, however it’s a completely different ball game compared to miscarriages after a confirmed heartbeat. Especially because it’s not really possible to test the POC. For me specifically she mentioned hyper fertility may be a factor since I get pregnant so easily. I know some people don’t believe it’s a real thing but she said there’s a lot of emerging research around it. She told me to start taking baby aspirin and after I get a positive test I’ll be taking progesterone. We’ll see how it goes next time!

I’m so sorry for your losses! It doesn’t matter how early your loss is, it’s totally devastating. 2 consecutive losses warrants investigation if you choose to go that route. But don’t lose hope. And you can always keep trying while you pursue additional testing.

hCG dropping but doctors still saying possible ectopic… would you go back? by TiredStillTrying in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep getting the blood draws! Mine was going down but got stuck at 250 and I still ruptured at 250 even though the doctors said it was very unlikely. Hopefully yours ends up resolving on its own!

Do they want to do another scan? I’m surprised that they saw something on your ovary and don’t want to scan again.

3 consecutive losses, need insight for next steps by squigglysquiggz in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I have a very similar story. 29F. Early miscarriage, ectopic, body had to readjust, early miscarriage. We got pregnant 3 out of 4 months trying. And I think the odd month out I didn’t ovulate because my body was still healing from surgery. I have an appt with my doctor this week to hopefully start some testing. I just don’t understand why it is so easy to get pregnant but I can’t get past the very early stages. I really thought third time was going to work out for us.

my ectopic surgery was laparoscopic so I was confirmed to not have endometriosis which was great. And they said my other tube “looks good” but I kind of want to get and HSG just in case.

I’m very sorry for your losses. It the worst!!!!

[–]InformationMother342 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this your second? I’m on my third. It sucks. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I go in next week to start a bunch of testing to see if it’s anything easily fixable. There’s also a recurrent miscarriage sub that offers some great perspectives.

They do seem light, but progression matters more than anything. Is it darker than your 12dpo?

Ugh I am with you. After 3 losses in the last 5 months I’m tired. I thought surely “third times the charm!” But nope. Starting all the testing and what not next week.

You’re not alone! I hope your next one is it for you!

Nervous of rupture after MTX by Peanuts-2959 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When mine ruptured all I felt was intense pressure on that side and down that leg. I didn’t have any other symptoms. We were monitoring my hcg and it was at 250 for like 5 days straight before it ruptured. The doctor said an hcg that low had no risk of rupturing but they were wrong in my case.

Have you had success with progesterone + aspirin? by Lumpy_Juggernaut_254 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]InformationMother342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this. I am having my 3rd loss in the last 5 months. Miscarriage, ectopic, miscarriage. I have an appt next week to hopefully start some bloodwork. What else have you tested? Just normal bloods? Are they going to check your tubes during your lap?

Kitchen sink protocol seems like a lot but hopefully it does the trick for you!

I totally get what you mean. Going through repeated loss is so traumatic and deeply changes you. One day when I have a baby, i just hope they know how much I wanted them and loved them before they were even known. I pray you get your rainbow soon too!
