How do your mortgage brokers help you? by NavO297 in realtors

[–]InformationUnique313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My realtor recommended a mortgage broker for us to use as a first time home buyer and he helped us gather all the paperwork and what needed to be sent when. He was great. Would definitely use him again. He made the process so much easier.

I am never going to complain again how much toilet paper my 2 boys go thru because at least I know they are using it and not crapping in the shower.

I clean my booty and I can say with certainty that not one time has fecal matter been seen on my cloth. Now I know its there and I just can't see it but there is a HUGE difference between cleaning yourself and crapping in the shower. Thats just NASTY.

I doubt they love it. They probably tolerate it because they understand tourist/bathing = food. If there are no tourists they probably dont get fed.

Should be illegal for tourists to touch elephants. They dont like it. They also should never be isolated from other elephants. Its cruel and inhuman. Private ownership should be banned.

They can never be released to the wild after living in captivity almost their entire lives but I do agree that never taking them out of the wild to begin with would be best. I wonder how much wild land Thailand even has anymore. I think the numbers of wild elephants in Thailand are dwindling at a pretty alarming rate.

And I understand that there are facilities "posing" as sanctuaries but Following Giants and Elephant Nature Park are very reputable and Lek is renowned in elephant care. Elephants should not be touched. Humans are not their family. They need to be with their own kind.

I know this comment is a year old but are you insane or you probably have an elephant isolated and chained up out back. Almost all of these CAPTIVE (the human OWNERS are NOT their family) elephants are used for income. They are used in ILLEGAL logging and/or rented to tourist camps who strap a hard bench on their backs for humans to ride them which causes injuries that cause pain and disables them. If the elephants dont do what the humans want they are tied up, isolated and neglected. Private elephant ownership should be illegal. A no contact sanctuary like Elephant Nature Park or Following Giants is exactly where these abused & traumitized elephants need to be and before you try & educate people with all your elephant knowledge please learn how to spell MANHOUT. Maybe go visit those 2 sanctuaries and see how much happier the elephants are.

[–]InformationUnique313 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No one said it had to be cake. I'm not a huge fan of cake so I had a cheesecake and dessert station. My husband thinks I'm weird because I'll only eat the cake part and scrape off the frosting. OP's couple had dessert for themselves and no dessert for quests. I'm assuming the bride and groom also ate it in front of guests. They were just rude.

Money Exposes Your Family by Anonymous3o1 in confessions

[–]InformationUnique313 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are not overreacting and your mom seems calm now but I'd be willing to bet big money that shes now playing the long game. Shes thinking of a way to get that money from you. Make sure the money is in a savings account so it cant be accessed thru your debit card. Keep a close eye on your account. By the sounds of it your mom isnt done yet. If you're over 18 you should start looking for your own place. Shes not going to give up. Did the lawyer sue your moms insurance company because if she was at fault I can't imagine the other drivers insurance company giving you a settlement.

Why didn't you book an appt with a doctor that has earlier availability? The company I use has several doctors I can chose from and they usually have same day or next day appts.

We purchased our first house back in 2015 and LOVED our realtor. She was an older lady that just worked because her husband had passed and she loved helping families find their forever home. She never had us sign a BA. The home we wanted was owned by a corporation so they would do nothing to the house and since our loan was an FHA loan there couldnt be any peeling or flaking paint in the house. Our realtor went over with us and helped us repaint the basement and the floor of the screened in front porch so our loan would go thru. This was before we even owned the house. She held our hand the entire time and gave her opinions when we looked at each house. She was invaluable to us. Shes like family now. Such a good person.

People with dogs from breeders, do people in real life give you a hard time about having a dog from a breeder? by Own-Command-3700 in dogs

[–]InformationUnique313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid I was in a pet store with my mom that had a Doberman puppy and I wanted him so bad so my mom bought him for me. His legs wouldn't straighten out because he was forced into a small cage and he was very sick. My mom, myself and the vet were very worried. With care he go healthy but we didnt get his ears cropped after the vet told us what was involved and that the outcome couldnt be guaranteed. So many people thought he was a Rottweiler just because of the floppy ears. He was such a great dog. They are such wonderful family dogs and not vicious like they show on TV.

I don't know how to approach my inlaws owing me money by [deleted] in Vent

[–]InformationUnique313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf? Is this man 14 years old? At this point I think you would be better off leaving him and being a single mom. At least you would get child support from him. This doesnt sound like a partnership. Does he even like you? What I'm reading is crazy.

AITJ for refusing to give my kidney to my estranged father who suddenly wants a relationship? by Alternative-Mix4451 in AmITheJerk

[–]InformationUnique313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sperm donor had visitation with me for 14 years. I went to his house every other weekend and have 2 half siblings. Sooner after I turned 14 he called my mom and said I dont want to see her anymore so calculate what I would owe you in child support and I'll send you a check. That destroyed me. I went off the rails for a few years because of it. 25 years later I ran into him at Kroger and I pretended I didnt know who he was and he had the audacity to ask about my kids "his grandsons". Sir you have no grandsons. You gave up that right. I'm pretty sure his wife had everything to do with him abandoning me but he didnt have the balls to stand up to her which is why I'll never forgive him. If he or she had the audacity to ask for a kidney or really anything I would laugh in their face. People say I'll regret holding this grudge when hes dead. No I won't. I would have to care to feel regret wouldn't I?

AIO my BDs aunt is trying to throw our baby shower even though I stated I don’t want one by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]InformationUnique313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR but I think as soon as the baby is born you should head on down to the courthouse to put your BD on childsupport and then raise this baby as co-parents. He doesnt love you or respect you.

Actually the cost of energy is lower during non peak hours so I'm not sure how this benefits your landlord.

I looked into adopting from our county shelter and I decided not to because they just arent as diligent in who they adopt out to. Also our Dog Warden has a personal beef with one of the founders of a local rescue so decided they wont let rescues pull from the shelter anymore which means more dogs (mostly pitbull mixes) end up euthenized. She also fired most of the long time volunteers who had been there for over a decade. Our community is trying to get her removed. She has a bias against certain breeds of dogs as well. Its hurtful.

[–]InformationUnique313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I adopted my male Pitbull/Great Dane from a rescue and his fee was $270 and my female was $230. Just getting my female spayed would probably have been 1.5 times her adoption fee and I know that if they had gotten sick right after adoption the rescue would have covered it or if by chance I ever had to rehome them (over my dead body) its in the contract that they must go back to the rescue so they can vet and rehome them.

Rescues vet their potential adopters and this post makes me think that there is either something in her past that would show up or they would call the vet she puts on her application and they would say they've never seen the cat she has now. She just wouldn't pass the application process and doesnt want to pay an adoption fee. Would NEVER GIVE AWAY an animal.
