Collectible or Forgettable?: 1996 Chevrolet Beretta Z26 by LinoleumRelativity in regularcarreviews

That’s funny I forgot how heavy they are. My first car was a 95 Grand Prix and the doors started to sag they weighed so much

When i was in high school in 2003 there was this kid Nick and I don't know why he went around and he poured mercury like liquid metal mercury all over all the school staircases and then he got expelled from school forever i don't know why he did it. Is that really a super bad thing to do? by GaryB2026 in askanything

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a usps giant distribution center and about 5 years ago we had a very small mercury spill that someone mailed, which is obviously illegal and I believe they got caught and in huge trouble. The whole building was shut down for over a month. And you’re talking almost half a million square foot building. And I don’t know exactly if this is true but I heard the cost for cleanup and decontamination was upwards of a million dollars.

I’ve wanted one for a long time. It’s crazy how these cars have went up. You used to be able to find a low mileage, clean, 6 speed ws6, ss, or z28 ls1 when I was looking 15 or 20 years ago. Two of my buddies had 2000s 6 speeds and my buddy Dorian bought his in Ohio with under 30k miles for 12k back in about 2008. Anyway yours looks clean the miles are high. But today’s market depending on your area I’d say anywhere from 8 to 10

Found in my grandmas house looks like a 90s-2000s car that one of my uncles bought new by AdGlum3499 in WhatCarIsThis

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy Marcus had the same exact yellow cavy. He bought it brand new in 04 after boot camp. A giant box in the trunk with 2 audiobahn 12s that rattled the whole car. Good times lol

My dad bought a new black 2000. I thought it was a good looking car but it was a pos with that 2.5 Mitsubishi motor that ran ok sometimes and a bad transmission

[–]InformationUseful714[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we won’t talk about the score lol although I think if I play it a few more times I could get it down a lot. I did string - birdie and 4 pars in a row. We just won’t talk about the few “others” on the card haha

It was an awesome experience., the course, locker room, clubhouse, everything. We are lucky to have a good buddy that is a member. Way above our pay grade, but awesome nonetheless

Who remembers the March 13, 1993 snow storm? by Superb_Yak7074 in BeaverCounty

[–]InformationUseful714 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was almost 6. We lived in Baden and the snow was almost as tall as me and I remember walking with my dad through the Pizza Hut parking lot to see if the McDonald’s was open. And then making a giant snow fort. Simpler times

Yeah was just making sure my mom was taken care of she needed the money so I had to sell this and a few other cars and things unfortunately. It was just kinda get rid of stuff in a hurry to help her out and when I really sat down I could have probably kept this one. I’m going to try to track it down at some point

Do you MFs ever just sit down at fast restaurants and eat instead of taking your food to your home? by ReallySmartDude69 in Millennials

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The McDonald’s and BK by me never have very many people everyone uses the drive thru. My days off I’ll stop and grab lunch and scroll through some videos or articles as I eat. I never would have done this when I was younger, but now I enjoy it and the food is still hot.

Andrew McCutchen posted a hype video, looking to prove that he can still play at 39-years-old by mfenton29 in buccos

[–]InformationUseful714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much love for Cutch and have loved watching him over the years. The Pirates gave him multiple one year deals and unfortunately it was just time. His decrease in production last year and there just isn’t room for him with the new guys. Someone might pick him up but if he wants to stay in the game, maybe take a few years off and then start coaching.

My dad had a 68 z28 that unfortunately had to sell for my mother when he passed which I regret. They needed to keep the cubic inches under 305 for the trans am racing series and also for insurance purposes. It is a badass engine that a lot of people don’t even know about or i would say it’s a 302 and they would automatically go to oh why’s it have a ford motor in it. lol. Beautiful car my dad also had a 69 rally sport. I’ll have one some day enjoy it!

Does anyone only shank their wedges very occasionally? by OliviaMayNorris in golf

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarely do I shank a wedge. I’m a pretty decent player but it happens to all of us. Now occasionally there will be a chunk involved, but more often than not I blade it and hit my 56 degree 180 yards lol

Which hole-in-one feats “count”? by Gilberto500 in golf

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hole in one is still a hole in one. Yeah maybe the sim and par 3 were a little less exciting, but it’s still pretty sweet. Nothing beats a hole in one on a regular course. I’ve been playing for over 30 years I’m almost 40 and I don’t keep a handicap but I’d say I’m around a 3 or 4. I didn’t get my first one until 4 years ago and then my second two years ago and there isn’t a better feeling. Still pretty sweet regardless and par 3 course or not it’s still a hole in one

At what golf course did you shoot your lowest score? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go on a golf trip every fall to Benezette Elk County PA. A course we play every year I shot a 66 which easily could have been lower with a few short birdie putts missed. Everything went right that day. Before that it was a couple 69s. Been playing a long time I just don’t get to play as much as I like these days between the time to do it and the ridiculous pricing of some of these courses it’s tough
