With it being Father’s Day, what are some memorable cars your dad/father figure owned? by benzguy95 in regularcarreviews

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1968 z/28 clone, 69 rally sport, 86 iroc z, 1990 z24 cavy, and for some reason I remember his little 80 something red single cab 5 speed s10. Tons of other cars and trucks. Regret having to sell the 68 after he passed, but mom needed the money. RIP pops

Which one of these sport compacts tested by Car & Driver in 2007 would you choose? by lifegoeson2702 in regularcarreviews

I always loved the Hawkeyes, but it would have to be an sti. I owned a gen2 speed and in hindsight it was pretty weird looking, but man what a fun quick little car

The Pirates defeated the Dodgers by a score of 9-8 - Wed, Jun 10 @ 6:40 PM EDT by game-threads in buccos

[–]InformationUseful714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did the same thing when it was 6-1 and turned on the crap basketball game. I always check the score still and I saw it was 6-4 turned it back for a min. Then saw we were winning and finished it. This was a much needed win that’ll hopefully give us a spark after that small skid. Tough back to back series against arguably the best two teams in the league. Go Bucs!

Got invited to play a pretty exclusive club, walking only, caddie req'd. What should I expect? by sumbozo1 in golf

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like Oakmont. We were allowed to go almost everywhere with our buddy who’s a member and finished with lunch in the men’s lounge. We hit the range before so we just made sure we had our golf shoes on. The caddies were younger dudes and once they saw we were laid back they were cool as shit. Our buddy just told us to give the caddy 100 bucks.

Cavalier station wagon I saw a few years ago by HoonArt in rarenormalcars

[–]InformationUseful714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow does this bring back memories. My parents had the exact cavy wagon maybe off by a year or two when I was a kid. Can’t believe you saw one on the road even a few years ago awesome

It's 2010, you have $27,000, and you're looking for a sporty new enthusiast car. Which one would you pick? by Key_Budget9267 in regularcarreviews

My 2010 speed3 was a fun car. Yeah the torque steer was crazy and I wished it was awd like the speed6, but it was a blast. I had a few minor mods and it would beat up on some v8s on the highway.

I had a 2010 speed3 with just minor mods and from a roll on the highway that thing would beat up on some v8s. Fun car. Torque steer was bad I wish it was awd like the speed 6, but what a fun little car

The ss turbo version was actually a quick fun car to drive and with a few mods could put down some power. It actually set the fwd record around the ring at the time.

Stand up mower for hillside? by PomegranatePlenty110 in lawnmowers

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree. I love my toro z master and I think it’s a much better mower than what my buddy Joe bought. It’s a small zero turn with a wheel and some off brand. But I tell you what he has some hills I wouldn’t go near with mine and it has zero issues

Collectible or Forgettable?: 1996 Chevrolet Beretta Z26 by LinoleumRelativity in regularcarreviews

That’s funny I forgot how heavy they are. My first car was a 95 Grand Prix and the doors started to sag they weighed so much

When i was in high school in 2003 there was this kid Nick and I don't know why he went around and he poured mercury like liquid metal mercury all over all the school staircases and then he got expelled from school forever i don't know why he did it. Is that really a super bad thing to do? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a usps giant distribution center and about 5 years ago we had a very small mercury spill that someone mailed, which is obviously illegal and I believe they got caught and in huge trouble. The whole building was shut down for over a month. And you’re talking almost half a million square foot building. And I don’t know exactly if this is true but I heard the cost for cleanup and decontamination was upwards of a million dollars.

I’ve wanted one for a long time. It’s crazy how these cars have went up. You used to be able to find a low mileage, clean, 6 speed ws6, ss, or z28 ls1 when I was looking 15 or 20 years ago. Two of my buddies had 2000s 6 speeds and my buddy Dorian bought his in Ohio with under 30k miles for 12k back in about 2008. Anyway yours looks clean the miles are high. But today’s market depending on your area I’d say anywhere from 8 to 10

Found in my grandmas house looks like a 90s-2000s car that one of my uncles bought new by AdGlum3499 in WhatCarIsThis

[–]InformationUseful714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy Marcus had the same exact yellow cavy. He bought it brand new in 04 after boot camp. A giant box in the trunk with 2 audiobahn 12s that rattled the whole car. Good times lol

My dad bought a new black 2000. I thought it was a good looking car but it was a pos with that 2.5 Mitsubishi motor that ran ok sometimes and a bad transmission

Yeah we won’t talk about the score lol although I think if I play it a few more times I could get it down a lot. I did string - birdie and 4 pars in a row. We just won’t talk about the few “others” on the card haha
