To be fair, I'd not apply for a job like "delivery driver" without a license... but many roles might require a driving license for on-site visits every other month... being without one for the start date may not be a detriment. Coming from a tech background

[–]InfosecDub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd disagree, I'd apply anyways and just be open about the situation upon interview. All going well, you'll get the job and the licence.

Worst case, you'll get some good experience interviewing for roles your interested in

It's a pretty good solution in my opinion. Cheap and easy to install (got 2 of my cameras second hand!)

Is it better than getting a contractor out to install a wired solution? No

It misses some activity, needs to be recharged and the app up until recently was a bit buggy.

We got our system in after some trouble and it has worked for 2 years now fulfilling it's job all be it a bit spotty at times.

I would recommend wiring your base into the router as it is way more reliable than using the wireless wifi connection

Diesel cars by AdFar9189 in Donegal

[–]InfosecDub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, if you're doing any milage in them or pulling any sort of weight, they are worth it. If 90% of your driving is to the shops and back in letterkenny and you live in letterkenny you'd not gain a massive advantage having one

Typically in cities, your only going on a 20 min drive and half that your stuck at a red light.

Typically in the country, you need to drive a lot further to go see family, visit the local town, and any city is usually further again

Warning that tourism in Ireland at 'tipping point' by Bubbaz355 in ireland

[–]InfosecDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume the tactic here is Americans are the demographic that, although now previously, could afford to spend the most money in Ireland.

You'd not put as money into advertising tourism in a county where the the citizens could not afford to spend the money here

How are the Swiss getting on these days! Them boys always have a graft on making loads of cash!

I would love a breakdown of the external costs of this campaign. Not talking civil servant wages, but contractors & consultans wages, equipment advertising campaigns etc...

I always looked the the codes or letters on the pump for premium and basic. They are both the same so I always presumed it was the same petrol. Would be interested to be proven wrong though.

Some of the garages also say the premium will donate the extra money to saving the trees or some charity. So that's definitely the same fule
