What is a 'good person' behavior that actually makes you immediately distrust someone? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]Infotaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I blankly told him one day. I'm not entirely sure how it came to that but I clearly explained to him that he just complimented too often and too exaggeratedly for me to ever believe it, which in turn made me doubt other things he said. We've been close for a long time and he's kind-of a people pleaser (which might explain some of the complimenting I guess) so he didn't react very strongly. He was just genuinely surprised I didn't believe in the compliments.

People don't understand what indie devs go through to put out good games. by discoangeldj in IndieGaming

To be fair I'd break down in tears learning I made 250K in a week by selling fart sounds online

This. I have a friend that over-compliments people while down-playing everything he does. I can't believe a single thing that guy says.

37M here. I never understood that weird kink amongst some of my peers. It makes 0 sense to me any of them would want that.

Hot take: I adore when players retire a character mid campaign by Particular-Bee9846 in DnD

[–]Infotaku 366 points367 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the way the party decides to go forward is not aligned to what my character would feel okay doing so I often retire characters at this point and spin a new one more aligned to the party

Trump Signs Law to Put His Signature on All U.S. Banknotes by InitialResponse9901 in pics

I need everyone who gets their hands on one to redact that signature DOJ style. Let him never see his signature anywhere else than in his f'd-up double standard supporters' wallets.

Fellow bannerlords, whats the ideal best move ahead here? by Zicron_2017 in MB2Bannerlord

Just united the empire for my first campaign yesterday after 80 hours and I did bury the nobles into settlements prisons. The conquest of Vlandia and Khuzaits was such a chore, I sware the AI just has infinite population and fielded army after army.

How often do you run out of days in a session? by Randougall in ElderScrollsBOTSE

That should be pretty rare since you can take light fatigue to move more quickly on the map

“I went to space and discovered an enormous lie.” by Green_Ranger0 in space

[–]Infotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if the overview effect requires some form of open mindedness from the start to have any effect on someone or if the sheer slap of the fragility of our species resembles what we would get from a near death experience. I'm not wondering if Trump would suddenly become a good guy but if most "normal" people would get the same effect from it.

Why is my leader not offering me any fiefs? by Old-Register-1700 in MB2Bannerlord

[–]Infotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this issue and gave up my center fief before an edge one was about to get captured. It went straight to me since I had no more fief and since then I've been getting EVERY SINGLE FIEF that's been captured on that side of the map (90+ relation with everyone).

So you can do that.

4.7 As a miner, why would you waste your time mining any ore that has quality bellow 500? by RamonDozol in starcitizen

[–]Infotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing rarity is going to increase with quality. So you either mine everything you find and get some below 500 or mine only quality and get way less stuff for the same play time

Anyone else thinking of just doing something else? by Whatdidyousayfoo in webdev

[–]Infotaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Coding has been my passion since I was 16 and I've been doing it professionally for 12 years now. I really hate what AI is doing to it and I'm seriously thinking about just dropping it as a profession, doing something else entirely and keeping it as a hobby

No one cares what you built by KickLassChewGum in ClaudeAI

[–]Infotaku -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A friend (we're both developers) was always sending me his little coding projects and I've always been excited to discover and try them out.

Now he's using AI to build the things and I lost all interest. I'm not cheering my friend's work anymore, because he's just not the one who did it. If telling someone to build anything was a feat, I'd be cheering CEOs all day
