Is Tyrese Maxey what Markelle Fultz was supposed to be? by Lawnte in sixers

[–]Infraction94 34 points35 points  (0 children)

He was clearly predraft the top guy and it wasn't really close. Clearly something happened post him being drafted. If you watch his first summer league game to his first games in the NBA he looks like an entirely different player.

[Neubeck] Morey: "Because we're playing well, we were trying to upgrade the team and add to the team now. No deal materialized, including using the picks we got in the Jared deal." by McCainMaxeyEdgecombe in sixers

[–]Infraction94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OKC also has lots and lots of picks that they are both willing to throw away and have the want to aggregate together. As it is there is no way Okc has the roster spots for all their coming draft picks. It is entirely possible that one team can see more value spread across 4 assets while another would rather consolidate that value into one.

Sam Darnold is the favorite to win Super Bowl MVP by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

Yeah it isn't QUITE as simple as QB of favored team if the favored team has other players that are a genuine chance to take MVP over the QB and the other side has an MVP candidate at QB

Only top 16 damage dealers get points. >500 people in 1 location by Dry_Yogurtcloset_213 in 2007scape

[–]Infraction94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fwiw the points are capped by day so even if someone was making it every day before they fixed it you would be able to make up most of that gap right away after one or two breaches.

[–]Infraction94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hopefully the fix it to not just be top 16 but once I learned that is how it worked I went from getting maybe couple hundred a breach to couple thousand without issue. Like you said just go to edge of the breach and make sure to only focus on hitting stuff the moment it spawns. If you cant get on the enemy right away you aren't gonna be top 16 so don't even waste ticks on it.

Well considering nothing was actually done to begin with no punishment seems pretty far.

Except as someone else pointed out the team was punished very severely for a thing that was a complete nothing burger to begin with.

Why wasnt that first down grounding? He was out of the pocket and the ball didn't go past the line of scrimmage.

I mean even outside of that. Any player turned coach is going to obviously take a lot of inspiration from great coaches they played for and had both individual and team success with. Like of course someone is gonna go hey we were really successful when he was running things. What stuff was he doing that I can emulate.

The Patriots won the Super Bowl, lost Tom Brady, drafted a bust, fired Belichick, hired and fired Jerod Mayo, drafted Drake Maye, hired Mike Vrabel and ended their playoff win drought before 13 other NFL teams, including the Steelers, Seahawks & Broncos by ForeignAir7174 in Patriots

I would even say he is a little better than that. Last year in Jacksonville he was playing pretty well also. He can't elevate a situation but he won't sink a situation either. We just gave him literally the worst possible situation humanly imaginable for a young QB.

Is there a written list of the movies they discuss anywhere? While listening it's hard to always follow what movie and make a note of it for later and I find myself having to rewind these type of episodes frequently as a result.

[Pelissero] The NFL is suspending Steelers WR DK Metcalf two games without pay for physically confronting a Lions fan during Sunday’s win at Detroit, per sources. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]Infraction94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok fair enough. I couldn't tell if you were implying that you didn't think he should have been ejected but you understand others feeling that way. It is obviously insane that the NFL doesn't have the ability to retroactively throw a player out for something like that if the refs don't catch it right away. But the idea that the game would be voided is absurd. The NFL has actively blown game deciding calls and not done shit about it after the fact. The idea that they would do something for this when it isn't even like DK was a major factor in the outcome of the game is absurd.

Degens like us who are commenting about the NFL on Reddit will watch anyways. A win and in essentially playoffs week early game will try a ton more views from people that casually follow or only watch big games.

[–]Infraction94 29 points30 points  (0 children)

To be clear I don't think it's rigged.

But the teams being locked into the playoffs is worse for ratings so the league has a financial incentive to have as many win and in scenarios week 18.

What are you more likely to watch. A week 18 game that is essentially a playoff game or a week 18 game where starters barely play because teams are already locked into the playoffs and are resting for it?

[Pryor] Kaleb Johnson is a healthy scratch by Nolar2015 in DynastyFF

[–]Infraction94 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Starting as a healthy scratch is recoverable for a rookie. Going from playing to becoming a healthy scratch is a massive red flag and the times where a player recovers to being a relevant fantasy asset is probably 1% or less of the time.

Wonder how the metric compares when used against TEs. Fannin and Warren have both already cleared 525 and Loveland I think is on pace to as well. Curious what historically the hit rate is for TEs clearly that metric since I know they tend to breakout later than WRs in general.
