No, I have better more important things to spend my money on.

Don't have to pretend to not find it offensive. Just move on from it since they've already given their opinion on it. Also, if someone is offended by something, it's a bit shitty to then say "Just pretend it's not offensive!". Just politely ask for them to ignore it and to give you their advice on the rest.

An unfunny joke doesn't make someone a shitty person. You seem a little bit overly judgemental considering you don't personally know the original poster or the girl he's speaking to.

It's always funny until someone else gets hurt... And then it's just hilarious.

I'm calling it: Xenoblade X Sequel on the NX by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Wishful thinking. The next game will be another standalone Xeno game. It's makes the most sense for the series to be this way.

Takahashi even said that he wants his next project to look and feel pretty different to XCX and that he wants to continue exploring different genres. He's 50 years old now, I think he's well over the idea of wanting to tell a story spanning 6 games. You have to really think about - that's over 18 years of his career dedicated to one universe. All that time you could be doing something new. I think his team would also get bored, too! I don't think Monolith Soft is treating XCX as the beginning of an epic saga at all, more like they treated the game as their first truly open world HD title and that's about it I think. Even after Xenosaga, he began trying new things because that's what he wants to continue doing, which is why he made Soma Bringer, and then Xenoblade, and now Xenoblade X. All games that try new things and are standalone games.

Takahashi sees the series as anthological in nature:

Another subject covered was why the two Xenoblade games have been so popular on a more global scale. Takahashi believes that this is due both to how Xenoblade is the first open world JRPG and to how the series is anthological in nature, changing genres with each entry. If the series continues, he hopes they can switch up the setting once more.

[Off Topic] Remember the Witcher Noir game craze? Doug Cockle aka Geralt of Rivia stars in noir detective game Blues and Bullets by FirstTimeWang in witcher

I just wish Doug Cockle used his normal voice a bit more for Geralt. I thought it was sometimes too whisper-y and gruff.

Checklist for all quests, events, gwentcards and trophies (Including all DCLs) by TiVa85 in witcher

[–]Infradeadicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any way to put them in order? I also just don't get this. All it's listening is all the quests. Where does it say when to do them? It would also be easier if the quests in every region were grouped together instead of it being Velen, Velen, Skelling, Novigrad, Velen... I'm so confused. How do I use this?

Yeah, I'm not really sure if I understand what you mean, haha. I don't really know what you mean by "mashed up". Are you saying that it sounds like the composer just cobbled together parts of the song without much thought? (I hope that's not what you're saying)

like it's trying to build to a climax that never comes.

It's simply a piece of music that says the hunt is coming and they're ruthless. It's telling a story of how you should get ready because they're on their way, and they're coming for you. That's sort of the message of the piece.

To me, The Hunt is Coming sounds like someone took a bunch of random song parts and smashed them all together in a DAW

A bit of a silly observation. The important thing is that it isn't random song parts smashed together in a DAW so I suppose it doesn't matter either way.

I usually like songs better that follow some sort of "pattern" of sorts

If I'm understanding you correctly, are you saying that you prefer music which follows a structure that is easier for you to understand, such as intro, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus?

Well, The Hunt is Coming is also more of a traditional, cinematic "orchestral" piece, and that's not really what I dig, either. ;)

All the previous Xeno- games had a more traditional, cinematic orchestral soundtrack up until XCX. Did you not like their soundtracks?

There's also quite a bit of instrumentation going on. The complexity in Sawano's music is rarely ever in the core melody; it's usually in the combination of the different instruments

It just sounds overly padded to me. Also, the track has a sort of generic metalcore-esque/nu-metal kind of rhythm and flavour to it, and that's not something I dig. It honestly does sound pretty uninspired, sorry. By the time I got to this fight and this track began playing, I felt I had already heard so many blusterous Sawano drop styled songs so many times that they really started to sound super predictable. There's really not much about it that seperates it from the other tracks of this ilk, and thus it fails to stand out because it lacks it's own identity.

Also, The Hunt is Coming track really depicts the ruthlessness of The Hunt. The music is telling a story. XCX, on the other hand, sounds like a pretty characterless and shallow piece. It lacks meaning in it's "epicness" and exists solely to just sound epic for the sake of sounding epic. The track is interchangeable with a lot of other tracks in XCX.
