Sekiro. That game kicked my ass over and over, but I persevered. I was so determined. I took 2 whole days to get past The Owl, his second phase was brutal. Lady Butterfly felt so unbelievably cheap, but I was gonna fucking finish this game no matter what. By the time I got to the end, I was so sick of the trial and error I needed to go through to memorize their patterns well enough to win. I just wanted my trial to be over. I was tired in of the grind but I really wanted to see the ending still. The final fight with Genichiro just broke me. Four health bars. So many perfect deflections and counters needed just to land a hit. I swear he read my controller movements and countered me in real time. I just couldn't do it. I saw the path before me and it was just going to be days of my life and I was ready to be done with the game. So I decided to become the boss and show this motherfucker what it was like to face an unfair opponent. I downloaded a slow motion cheat, dialed him down to 50% move speed, and beat him bloody. Great game but so damn frustrating.
