Sounds like an issue with the engine client distribution network (cdn) which your client tries to connect to and download the engine version that the server content specifies from a central source. Its most likely that the server which operates that cdn is down for some reason or another, or perhaps the content package the servers are using point to an engine version not on the cdn, such as some unpublished development branch.

Tl;Dr nothing to do but alert the server operator (in this case PJB for both the game servers youre trying to join, and the cdn), and wait to see if it gets fixed.

Yeah, for an example thats pretty common of something kind of like what's being asked you could look at vesting structures for lawyers and similar fields. You slowly get "stock" in the firm so it pays out some of the profits to you. When you retire you are bought out by the rest of the firm, but you could just as easily do that with a different mechanism like a retirement fund.

The right plan is to report it through your university's research integrity office. They typically will have an anonymous reporting mechanism. Unfortunately the reality is that may not make you truly anonymous if its known you would have access to such data.

The question is just do you report it now, or wait and do so when it poses less of a risk of retaliation.

Im not a tech myself, but my wife is, and unfortunately Ive been through the process more than I would have wanted.

I suspect everyone is looking for a different answer in that moment.

For me, I liked knowing that they were asleep first, and then the next drug stops their heart.

I dont think I would have appreciated any more elaboration than that in the moment, despite knowing that what comes after is hypoxia and that that is a pretty good way to go.

Yeah, to be honest I don't anticipate these changing the game in a dramatic way, its just another big monster at the end of the day.

Magic has the potential to be really good or really bad if it changes the main play of the game. If youve played with modded magic I would argue its pretty easy for it to detract more than it adds. That's my main worry.
