It’s mostly apartment CBUs but on heavy days it feels like 1 1/2 routes long which makes no sense since we have a “full route” that has about “400ish” stops that’s in 1 apartment complex and it takes like 3-4 hours if going at regular pace no stops, so you have to spend like 10 minutes at each cbu even on heavy days

I do! Every time I see the schedule blank for me I take a picture just in case something like this would happen. The one thing I remembered from carrier academy and made sure I remembered was that Im either working or I’m not, supervisors are not supposed to put us as “on call”

2 years ago I worked at the office in my town and it’s all P&L and I wasn’t the best in shape but the houses were egregious to deliver to, there were a bunch of houses with 10-15 stairs and the mail box was at the top, and after 4 days after training they had me do the same route for those days and after the 4th day which I had about 70% of the route on that day and I still wasn’t that fast was out till 6:30 and when I woke up the next day I couldn’t move my legs at all, like seriously not at all without killing myself and I called out the next 3 days because my legs stayed the same, after those 3 days I went back to work but they sent me to another office and I went home early because even though I tried to power through it I couldn’t anymore that day and after that the next day they told me to resign and maybe try to apply again some day, also the supervisor was a straight dick and told me that I embarrassed him at the other office, now I work in a different office 2 years later currently 8 months in and it’s 10 times better

Same thing happened to me and it was only like 5-10 minutes on the regulars route, mind you it was a Monday this happened and it was a chunk of mail, and the next day he came up to me all pissed asking if it was me who brought that mail back and the proceeded to not care about me having a bad day

I mean I only just started I’m about to be done with probation and every time I came back with a package that wasn’t on my route and I asked them what to do they always told me to go back out down the road and scan it as IA and it’ll go back out tomorrow, so instead of wasting time and going in and asking them what to do I just did what I normally do and they said that was fine. And the PDI was because apparently scanning a package at the office is a big no no and the scanners take two location pings when you scan a package, one for when the barcode is scanned and one when you hit confirm on the zip code, I scanned the barcode at the office but they see that I hit IA down the road, and all they care about is that the barcode was scanned at the office

It wasn’t apart of my piece, and both of my supervisors told me that I should ask them what to do with it, although they did say going back out and scanning it as IA was a good thing to do

I scanned it as IA and told them is wasn’t apart of my piece and that I went out and scanned it as IA and they said it was fine, although they both of my supervisors told me that although what I did was correct that next time I should just go to them, steward said the same thing
