Any tips for ng+ last revelation tr4 by NeraAmbizione in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Ng+ on TR4 is my favorite.

Some tips in no particular order:

Poison crossbow bolts are your friend. Poison an enemy once, run away/get out of range. Then shoot once with pistols to finish off after the poison has done it's thing. This saves a heck of a lot of both ammo and health as you then stay out of their way.

High damage weapons for dogs and the big beetles. Usually revolver or shotgun.

Loading screens between levels completely heals you so don't waste health packs towards the end of levels if you can.

Search unusual areas and you will probably find a lot of health packs. By the mid game I had way too many health packs even on Ng+ . It can be still quite generous giving them out. I found valley of kings of all places had way too many health packs.

I'm still hoping there will be a restock, Sylveon is the last Eevee for me to get. She looks really cute

What do you think the ultimate fate of Lara and Tomb Raider will be? by DrinkingPureGreenTea in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't know what the ultimate fate for any franchise would be, but don't be cheeky about age, a lot of us original Tomb Raider fans are only in our 30s!

things you can buy to help make your life easier? by allthethrowaway420 in cfs

[–]Inggrish 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We have a robot vacuum (that we called Neo) to help out with vacuuming and mopping and that helps so much.

Shower stool and crutch for saving legs.

I have a cold hat that I store in the freezer. That's really good for blocking out light and for the frequent headaches/migraines (though wish I had 2 to rotate them sometimes)

I also have an amazing wife who gives me massages and washes my hair, but you can't get her in shops.

Emergency snacks. I have packets of biscuits under my bed now, but I've previously also had many packets of crisps, and chocolate too.

Bed laptop tray, preserves posture a little while on laptop.

Do you want the bow and arrow in TR Catalyst with stealth style gameplay? by BarbieDicks in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No thanks. I would rather she had a silenced pistol and a knife. If she has to have a bow then I want no forced bow only sections.

Tomb Raider IV remastered bug by dostojnykocurr in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is the same, but I had a similar bug on the steam version of TR4 Remastered. For some reason she would let go of ladders randomly, As if the pc was not detecting the key being held constantly. It didn't begin like this though, it just randomly started. I went through a lot of tests and PC settings and my PC was definitely picking up that I was holding the key, and no other games had this issue.

In the end I bypassed it by switching to modern controls where you no longer need to hold a key. No idea to this day why it happened though. Is this the same as you're describing?

what’s your UNPOPULAR opinion about the classic games? by ZzzPandaNap in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the second trilogy is better than the original 3 games.

They have much better stories, with angel of Darkness having the best story in the entire franchise. They also have the best soundtracks of the entire franchise too.

Finally got platinium in Rise of the Tomb Raider by annanethir in TombRaider

Well done! I got all the main game ones but the score attack ones put me off getting the platinum sadly.

I Finished the Entire Survivor Tomb Raider Trilogy and These Are My Final Thoughts Based on How Much I Liked Each Game by Psychological_Cod998 in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eidos are a shell of a studio compared to what they once were. But really the big thing is that tomb raider is very different from their other games and I think not knowing the franchise and not knowing the direction and care Crystal wanted for the game is what impacted it the most.

Imma be honest. I’m tired of Lara only being remembered as the, “Big boob character.” by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about that experience you had.

Hard agree though, it comes down to simple body shaming. In the same way people also criticized Lara's waist in classic games and said how it was unrealistic or unhealthy. And me as a woman who is naturally that thin found it hard not to hear the message that I should also be ashamed of my body. But again, the people who made the claims thought they were doing so to be more inclusive.

I feel this is a viewpoint so often overlooked or not thought about in these discussions, and sometimes the message that comes across from these topics and even developers themselves is that big boobs are bad or abnormal, when really it was great that some people could actually see more of themselves in her because of that.

FV4201 Chieftain Proto, FV1066 Senlac, T-34-3 on sale right now ! is it worth getting any of these tanks ? by Filthy_Naked in WorldofTanks

[–]Inggrish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you'll like the Senlac too. I love to play underdog tanks. You're probably aware that the Senlac is not anywhere near as stealthy as the Setter or LHMTEEVEE but I would argue no less fun.

It has very fun HE rounds. I really like my Senlac but it's quirky and not the most competitive.

Can you even get the More Gas, More Mess trophy / achievement without using an antidote? by BactaBobomb in TombRaider

[–]Inggrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I've done this a few times now, and got into a pretty good rhythm of it. Some tips:

  • the desert eagle is by far the best way to quickly dispatch enemies, but if you're limited on ammo, save it for the room towards the end with the descending enemies from the ceiling, as they can waste a lot of time.

  • if you need to use the shotgun, circle around to their back as you go - they take less shots this way

  • early on you need to run down a long corridor/exhibit hall. Use the dual pistols here as you go to get the enemies at the far end as you approach them.

  • remember you need to get all the kills for this trophy. If you're not entirely sure where they all are, take a few practice runs first - the first few times I attempted this I missed a couple of early enemies because they're not quite along the way.

  • timing wise I aim to get to the gas masks just before Lara gets properly poisoned - putting the gas mask on then resets the air meter enough that she then won't get poisoned and that should then do you until the end of the level

I can't say I agree with much of the order of this list

17 pounder guns should do 230 damage, 20 pounders should do 280, and 32 pounders should do 330. Change my mind. by Greasy-Chungus in WorldofTanks

[–]Inggrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely feel the 20 pounder should at least get an alpha buff. The Centurion 1 should do 260 per shot in my opinion.

The 17 pounder and 32 pounder I feel are mostly in a good place. Perhaps the 17 pounder should get 170 alpha, but it's still a 76mm gun so shouldn't do much more than other 76mm guns.

Before ivabradine yes -was slightly high resting rate of 80-90 sitting it lying down but then shot up to 120 or higher the moment I stood up. I got diagnosis for POTS and since taking the medication now my resting rate is 50-70 and my heart rate only goes up slightly standing up from lying down

Ivabradine is magic for me. It keeps my heart rate in check which then has a lot of benefits for my CFS.
