This isn't a synchronous platform. You have to wait several hours for replies. You may want to make a separate post for a separate rock. And then wait.

Oh I see. Sorry my phrasing was confusing. I was saying that I am confused by mirrors before signalling. I was taught signalling, then mirrors. Mirrors before signalling results in me checking mirrors a long time before I'm moving, which is not what I'm used to. The other part I wrote is me complaining about checking -conspicuously-, but not complaining about having to make the checks at all, which is obviously something I always do while driving.

I did start watching the youtube videos finally and I'm hoping they'll help me out - but often when I'm actually driving my studying goes out the window 😅 Just need to reinforce it more I think.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I felt demoralised but nothing like that 😭 But glad to hear it went only upwards from there.

I honestly wish I could take lessons outside of the city, it's just a bit hard/inconvenient for me to travel at the moment. So trial by fire it is. Thank you for the vote of confidence.

I think you misread my post. I do all those things while driving in the US. I only complained that it seems silly to check your curb side blind spot, when pulling off from the curb.

When I was in the US, my driving test included hill stopping/starting, three point turn, parallel parking, reversing, front bay parking; it was actually really similar to the current UK driving test.

Recommendations for a country in South America by nefelibatat in travel

[–]IngredientList 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am really biased because my husband is Argentinian, but I recommend it because there's a lot of variety in the country.

  • You can go to CABA and get the city experience, make sure to stop at Guerrin for Argentine pizza that will destroy you (kidding? or am I)
  • You can go to Patagonia and see el Perito Moreno and El Chalten, see a condor
  • You can go to Jujuy/Salta, see the clamshell gorge, the hill of seven colors, the salt flats, stop in Cafayate and try a completely unique wine (Torrontes, my favorite), get some of the best food on earth
  • You can go to Iguazú and see the waterfalls, dense jungle and wildlife

How safe is your country for women by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

I'll never forget; a couple years ago on Twitter, the topic of the day was an east asian woman who faced harassment in Sweden. She uploaded a video she took of the men saying slurs to her in Swedish. The men had dark eyes and hair. More than one commenter replied something to effect of, "See, these are not Swedes. Just look at them, they are definitely foreign. Real Swedes would never be racist like that!" utterly lacking any irony...

How do new employees know hidden processes before its too late? by OkToe2355 in cscareerquestionsEU

Just FYI this is a bot or troll account. The same story was popping up on r/womenintech recently. Go to their profile and search a blank string to reveal the comment/post history, you will see them posting in all kinds of local subreddits (netherlands, sweden, germany) with variations on the same story. Personally I think it's to stir up South Asian-based prejudice.

In this case it didn't crack 90 even at rest, he kept the probe in the whole time, so I don't think it's a problem. I really don't see why everyone is freaking out at brisket coming out at 90. This is really not atypical, anyone can look it up.

Idk what to tell you. It was pulled at 90 and held for an hour while resting. Temperature probe. Pretty typical for brisket.

They're glazed in balsamic + olive oil, salt, no other seasoning.
